So my high pressure power steering line is leaking good. Is there any good aftermarket ones? I've done search after search and turned up nothing. I can pay 70 bucks for a stock one from autozone lol. I have seen 2 on ebay. Earls aeroquip ps line for 75 bucks or a kai project 2 stailess steel one for 75 bucks. Anyone tried these or know where to get a nice one?

I just switched to the earls line.
Don't see a reason to switch unless your leaking.
Just get the ss lines if they are only 5bucks more...

Anyone else have the bubbling, about to explode PS lines/reservoir after some hard driving?
I think I wanna update to the S/S set-up like the MAMS one.

ehh, I broke mine I just went to the local junk yard and paid 20 bucks for 2 of them, slaped one on in 20 minutes, and kept the other for a spair. To my knowledge its actually pretty rare that they pop. I would just get another OEM part and use it with another stashed at the junk yard or in your garage. hope that helps, good luck

I think I have a better idea.

Remove the line and drive to one of your local hydraulic shops, have them make you one with a 3000 psi line like I did (since it was all that they carried) , and if it blows in a couple years then you are only out by about $30 dollars. Half the price of the Autozone line and 3 times more durable.

For $5 more its a no brainer, just make sure you get a good seal (I know that's kind of a DUH thing to say)

Made mine with earls months ago. Money well spent and cheaper than a new hp line from the stealership.

+1 for MA motorsports line. Helped clean up the engine bay by losing all that extra OEM PS line slack.

sounds like you need a ps cooler...not sure if your hard driving is grip or slip, but if you have wide tires up front it's gonna put a lot more strain on the ps with a lot of turning. Drifting on the other hand turning lock to lock is in no way good a ps cooler should help though.

to answer the op's question, I'd recommend doing it right the first time and going with some stainless steel lines. the stock/oem ones are notorious for leaking and most likely will leak again.

my ps leaked pretty bad when I first purchased the car. I was gonna replace some of the hoses, but I decided to try loosening them and re-tightening them which actually stopped the leak completely.. so you may want to give that a try.

Nice lookin RB Darius. I just returned some fittings i bought to do a high pressure line exactly like you did. In order to put the AN line straight into the pump the way you did...you used a 16x1.5 adapter WITH O RING. Correct? I ordered non o ring fittings and realized i should have (for rack and pump)

To the OP: Build your own custom AN line from summit. Go with the Russel Power Flex -6AN line because it saves you a bunch of cash from the Earl's line, and i think the braided looks better than that blue fabric anyways. Get some steel hose ends (one 45*, one 90*), get the proper adapters, and put it together. My whole setup cost like $65 with shipping

nah, 16x1.5 with crush washer.

That powersteering cooler isn't doing much being that small and out of the way.

Yep I used an o-ring fitting with PS line rated for 350psi or whatever Russell's Powerflex line is rated for.

I can't care less about the PS cooler placement or effectiveness. It can't be any worse than the stock aluminum tube. I've got enough crap at the front of the car that a PS cooler was a burden.

The russel powerflex hose is rated up to 2500psi, and best of all...only costs $18.88 for 3ft (from summit)
