My daily is a 98 Impreza 2.5RS. Totally stock, and it's a great little car. As with hondas, it has nothing to do with the car and everything to do with the owner.
But I must say that in general subie owners have weird taste. The mudflaps, stock gold wheels on the 98 RS (which I have) that they are obsessed with, roof scoops, gigantic wings etc. I know it all has to do with rally stuff but still.
Nasioc is good for info sometimes but thats it.

Yeah i live in the Subaru capital of the US, Bend, Oregon. every 3rd car is a subaru here. all of them are driven by kids with rich parents that want them to have a "safe" winter car. most of them crash during the winter.

altho there is one exception, a buddy of mine has a STI with a built motor in it making a little over 400HP to all the wheels. and it has drift damage, and mis-matching panels He is the exception to the subaru rule of only asshats and hard parkers.

I have to agree with !Zar!. I'm a subie driver and am very competitive in SCCA autocross. The majority of subie owners don't know the history about subaru before 2003. I drive a GF impreza and I have alot of WRX guys ask me what kinda turbo my wrx has. Sadly u.s never brought the wrx in the u.s. till 2002. I've been kicking their asses with a NA 2.2L impreza. =)

N/A '07 Impreza wagon here too. DD, shop car, autocross*, thrashmobile. Only .9 seconds off lowest time @ Performance Nissan autocross-bone stock- vs. an EVO IX, multiple Z33's, and G35's and a well driven S13(also N/A). And yes I also have an S13. :loco: Haters are funny. :keke:

I used to own a WRX (04), and thus it was required by law that I post on NASIOC.

Good knowledge base, but definitely some funny customs, as someone mentioned with the open-air BOV's and oft-ill-concieved FMIC setups.

I had the car like 9 months, didn't do much but a few tiny mods and a couple trackdays, and decided that while it was a fun car, it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be.

I think I went in reverse order though, I went from Subaru-->S-chassis-->Honda.
