Ive been running lean on my blacktop s13 for some time now and i could not figure it out. so i took it to a performance shop around here and they said it was because when i replaced my iacv, i didnt reset the valves and let my computer know, so now its stuck open. They are going to charge like $250 because it takes so long to reset it. Has anyone ever heard of this or is it bull?

are they just going to reset the ecu if they are try this first take the power AND ground off and touch them together OFF the battery and let it sit for 5 10 mins and put them back on and see if that helps

(i have done this several times to reset air bag lights on cars)

so the iacv being stuck open makes it run lean how?
seriously never go back to that place.
Do you have a stock fuel pump still cuz that would be the problem
or maybe your fuel filter is clogged
or a bad O2 sensor or dirty/faulty maf
get that fsm and do work son

i reset the the ecu and nothing.
i have ran through my fuel system and my wiring about 3 times. the pressure is good and fpr is good. i just changed the o2 sensor and checked for leaks everywhere. i dont know what else to look for?

^^ dont do that...do it yourself or at least take it to a decent shop, if they are trying to fuck you on something like that I wouldnt trust them with your car, plus you never know what other "problems" they might tell you they found when they start work....too many stories about shops trying to ass rape ppl

well im in little rock arkansas and there is 2 decent shops around that even know what an sr20 is and the other shop said my aem uego was too close to my header while they were pointing at my oem o2 sensor. so not much of a choice. ive been tring to figure this out for 3 months now and how lean im running, my engine doesnt have much longer being a daily driver.

goto a wreckers find a sohc k24e 89-90 240sx take the maf plus plug. cut the plug too. leave some room to work with the wires. try that out.

dont take ur car to a place that wants to rotate ur tires hoping that fixes the problem.

Go to the store, buy condoms for the penis you take... Hand the condoms and all your credit cards to the technician. You'll be fixed up fine.

ok i actually think i found out what was wrong with my car. i have a weak ground coming from the ecu to the mafs. i bought a new one just in case. would it be ok if i were to just ground the wire that is suppose to be grounded somewhere else or does the computer need to see a ground?
