Alright fellas, this post is for a friend who rode in my 240 (he owns a 2001 Civic) and was so impressed with the car that he is now in the market. Does anyone know of any available in the area? Any help in the matter would be appreciated! Either automatic or manual will do just fine. Thanks!
I misspelled automatic...im so stupid. And to make things worse, turns out he only wants a manual...no more auto for him.

What kind of mileage and price is he looking for? Where are you guys located? I'll be selling mine in a couple of months (after I put on new brakes, rear struts, rear subframe bushings). I don't know how much for yet, but I still have over 15000 miles left on my TRANSFERRABLE extended warranty, too. Right now, she's got 83900 on the clock.

WHAT?!?!?! You're getting rid of yours? I never expected that to happen...why are you?
Anyways, PM me your contact info and I'll get you two in touch with each other. We live in the D.C. area, but Tulsa, might not be out of the question for shipping or a road trip to pick it up. I don't really know his price limits or anything...I should ask, it'd make things easier. Anyways...get back to me whenever you can.

Why am I going to sell her? It's a hard decision--I love that car SOOO much, and I have done SOOO much maintenance on her, but I'm getting ready to buy a 300ZX (there's a lady I know pretty well that's getting ready to sell her '96 w/ 58000 miles 'cause she wants a 350Z). I also want to sell my car while it has a good portion of the extended warranty left (which, again, is transferrable to the next owner). Here's what I've done to my car so far:
* August '01: clutch master & slave cylinders (master went bad, so I had the slave replaced as well)
* December '01--Tires
* March '02--Rear Main Seal
* March '02--Clutch--which was only replaced because my extended warranty covered the rear main seal & I only had to pay for the clutch parts
* March '02--Front cover gasket
* March '02--Timing chains and guides--which were only replaced because my extended warranty covered this when I had the front cover gasket replaced due to the front cover oil leak
* March '02--Water pump--wasn't bad, but warranty included this in the timing chain job
* March '02--Thermostat--wasn't bad, but warranty included this in the timing chain job
* March '02--Valve cover gasket--wasn't bad, but had to be re-done in the timing chain job
* April '02--Spark plugs (NGK) & wires (Bosch)
* September '02--Battery
* October '02--Air filter with a K&N
The interior is in IMMACULATE condition--not a single tear or anything in the fabric. The exterior is in near perfect condition, except for a blemish on the front bumper, and a few scuffs on the lower lip (whose lower lip NEVER gets scuffed?)--I repainted it shortly after I got my car (it was black, it now matches the dark charcoal paint on the underside of the door frames--see the pics at http://my240sx.freewebspace.com/photo.html) I'll try to take more pics this next weekend of the interior and everything.
The outer coating (heat shield) of the muffler wass starting to separate from the muffler itself when I bought the car, but it is exactly the same now as it was a year and a half ago. The exhaust has the normal heat shield rattle around 2500rpms, but also hasn't changed a bit since I bought it. I'm going to change my oil this weekend, and I'm going to make sure the bolts and everything are tight underneath to see if I can stop it. It's not bad at all, though.
I won't be ready to sell her for about 2 months though--I still want to put new brakes, rear struts & new subframe bushings on her before I sell her. It will then be in 100% PERFECT mechanical condition. I will also have a 4-wheel alignment done after I put the struts and subframe bushings on. I also want to put in a new fuel filter (hasn't been changed since I bought it). I have taken EXCELLENT care of this car and absolutely hate getting rid of her, but I'm really wanting this Z32 (and my bf really needs more headroom, too....lol).
So, if your friend doesn't mind waiting 2 months for the perfect car, let me know. He would be getting one helluva great car. Like I said also, I don't know how much I want to sell her for, though. This isn't just ANY '96 w/ 84000 miles--it has been meticulously taken care of and also comes w/ a $1600 extended warranty w/ a $100 deductible.
If your friend wants, I can also scan the warranty paperwork, so he can see what it covers. This warranty company is awesome--covers rental cars, too! It covers the car until 98976 miles or until April '04.

Oh, and I've also added the NGK plugs & Bosch wires to the list. I did those in April '02. The wires have a lifetime warranty, also.
And, the oil has been changed every 2500-3000 miles w/ Mobil 1 full synthetic--10w30 in spring/summer, 5w30 in fall/winter--and OEM Nissan oil filter.

My boyfriend and are talking about maybe meeting halfway if this goes through. I'm getting ready to put the rear struts on w/in the next couple of weeks, brakes all-around very soon after that, and then we'll do the subframe bushings. A friend of mine that works at a body shop is also going to go around and buff out any scuffs in the paint (there were a few when I bought her) and touch up the 1 scratch that's happened since I've had her (hit a damn tailpipe in the road--at night--at it flew up and scratched the PS door ). Then she'll be good to go!!!
