if it was a '73 i'd be pissed, because it would have had metal bumpers originally... but 74 started GM's plastic bumper clusterfuck that ruined the looks of every car they had out (seriously, the second gen firebird/camaro was a nice looking car from 70-73, then they fucked it). so now it's fucking rad!
seriously that's awesome.

Styling changed subtly over the generation. In 1973, the Corvette dropped the front chrome bumpers for a urethane (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urethane)-compound "5 mph" bumper but kept the rear chrome bumpers. In 1974, The rear chrome bumpers became urethane, too, making 1973 the last Corvette model year with any chrome bumpers.

So he put a C6 front and rear conversion? The back looks a lil funny to me... but nevertheless a ballin conversion.

you said BUMPERS. then you said "74 started gm's plastic bumper..."
last year of front and rear metal bumpers was 72, you are still wrong.
suck it up.

73 was glass bumpers too.
1.) they're urethane
2.) it was one bumper, not two bumpers. the back bumper was metal. hence not two "glass" bumpers (that would actually be urethane.
3.) moreover i'm referring to GM's whole lineup, which changed over in '74
4.) this is silly

SO FUCKING UGLY.
It's not amazing. It's the greatest visual assault on the eyes since I picked up a Belgian import mag.
Someone delete this thread. That thing is so hideous, I'm going to have nightmares.

My uncle nick is actually building a 88 vette right now with a 63 split window rear end, I forgot what he is doing with the front but I am going racing with him this weekend so I will see if he has some pics for me to throw up...if this thread lasts that long... :(

Lets se his S14...Not a fan of older Vette's personally. You can see it's nice work though.

Right now its completely stripped down. engine bay, jambs, interior is painted, and the exterior is primed and ready for paint. He keeps trying to con me into buying it, but now spending my money on something like that.
