So many places claim they have them but when you buy them and they show up to your door, they are regular racks. It's only guaranteed when you buy them used and can actually confirm the rack ratio.

Are there any external clues on the rack that coule tell you if it is in fact an actual hicas rack? On the note of how stupid rebuilders are I got an s-14 rack back when I ordered a re-built from one of my suppliers. Now may damn urethand bushings don't fit tight and I had to cut out the rubber from the stock bushing and put it in the energy bushing to get it tight. Re-builders wouldn't know a hicas rack if someone shoved it up their ass!

Hicas and regular look exactly the same. Only way to know is to test out the ratio from lock to lock. I love my HICAS rack.

I agree with Flybery they do look identical I know becasue I have one in my shed right now...
