i don't know the new gtr motor still remains to be seen. it might have some wimpy block and brittle rods for all anyone knows.
if you want i can help you sell it, as long as I get a percentage

bump...........
how do u swap this in a s13 is it a direct drop or do i need custom mounts. lmk thanks
my gf says your dumb..., there is no direct swap for a s13 that isnt SR, CA, or KA. Your going to need some sort of custom work for anything else, cmon now... bump for a savage motor +1

thanks for the bumps guys. and as for no direct swap vq35hr/de www.vqswap.com (http://www.vqswap.com) they made it a direct swap ... also as a side note the vq weighs the same as the ka give or take 20lbs so your weight distribution will stay the same

ya but the VQ swap.com is not a direct swap like they say on their site, and they have caught a lot of shit on other forums for it. Add to that VQswap.com is completely unreliable in the customer service department. Again this has been documented on other forums.
I am not trying to shit on your for sale thread. I am just merely pointing out that VQswap.com is far from direct swap.
Plus VQswap.com goes stand alone which makes the swap useless because the whole point of the swap is to be smog legal.
When your ready to talk realistic market prices on your engine hit me up, I will probably pick it up.
P.S. I wish you had never sold your ignition, underdash harness and BCM.
P.S. I wish you had never sold your ignition, underdash harness and BCM.
i think this is why he's selling the rest of his stuff, because he needs that stuff to actually do the swap

no i'm selling it because i need money. i've seen the vqswap in person its super clean and runs great plus stand alone is the best option for running this motor on boost. and $5k for a motor and 6speed trans that only have 8k miles on them is better than fair market price. the fact that the hr engine is so unavailable means that if you pay less than nissan wants for it you got a deal. unless you wait untill they become more available then the price will go down but by then this swap will be old news and the gtr engine will be the new thing.

Well, the VQswap.com install and how good it is is a matter of opinion. Though your comment about this engine running better on standalone, for boost or whatnot, clearly proves you have not researched the HR. Currently the best numbers out of HR's are with ECU reflashes.
Now it could be debated on the DE version which is what VQswap.com runs. A engine that is 80% different than your engine and VQswap.com has mostly likey no experience tuning a HR.
Your right your engine is not that common and in fact because of that there is less tuning for it.
On the Cost of your engine. I picked up my 2007 VQHR and trans complete with ecu, harness, underdash harness, ign with nats and BCM for $3100. A engine that has less than 3k on it.
Check out my350z.com for more accurate grip on the average price of these engines. My engine was listed for 5k before I bought it.
Seeing as I am building multiple cars I have a desire for another engine at the proper price.
I should also add once again the point of running these engines at least in Cali is to be smog legal. For that you need all the stuff I mentioned before.
If your not going legal with it then you might as well put in a RB or SR and call it a day.
I should add these engines are not fast sellers.

Bump for a sick engine, but you might want to lower the price a bit, you can get these much cheaper on g35driver and my350z. . .
Don't mean to threadjack but i'm dealing with vqswap.com and their kit. . .nothing matches up, they're very hard to get a hold of, their customer service sucks etc. . .hardly anything that they claim about their kit being a bolt-in is true. . .i'm throwing in a vq into my s14 atm. . .

Go premie if your not a vagina yourself..... and keep your motor dude, after all this BS, you obviously arent going to get 5k for it so put it in your S chassis and sell that bitch for 10

i planned on buying a membership just haven't gotten to it yet.
seriously, put that sumbitch in your s13 running FACTORY ecu and sell that bitch for 18k
seriously, it would be faster then a Z, it would handle better, and you would get better gas mileage due to weight difference
don't swap it in, and then sell it for 10k, thats just poor business
