haha can't afford to rebuilt the motor at the moment, still in the process of auto - manual swap... hmmmm.... can any type of intake clean be bought at auto zone??
oh and the wiring harness got wet, does that matter? when i was cleaning it with the hose some of the plugs got water on them, that a big deal?

when you install it and get it running run seafoam on the engine for sure.

If the tape is intact, your wiring harness is fine.
Water doesn't affect spark plugs.

water doesn't affect spark plugs???
I pressure washed my bay a while ago and my car kicked and bucked because of all the water in the spark plug holes.

If your engine is high mileage (100k+) I would not recommend sea foaming it. High mile motors tend to smoke a lot after a sea foam treatment because it breaks down the buildup of oil around your rings, which was previously helping to seal them.

lol no, i was talking about the plugs on my wire harness, if the plugs on my wire harness get wet is that a problem ? because i sprayed down the whole wire harness to get all the dirt off it.. not the spark plugs.. haha
oh and yeah the engine has 164k miles on it... so i take it i shouldn't sea foam it?.. if i did sea foam it .. would the smoking go away after a while? or would it smoke forever?

no u would need to replace the piston rings to stop smoking

your wiring harness should be good as long as you give it ample time to dry COMPLETELY. since you're messin around with the engine anyways i'm assuming the harness will be sitting around for a few weeks. It will be fine

anyone have any bad experiences with sea foam??
I used seafoam on a 232k mi KAE no problems. It just depends on the condition of your engine. On my current rebuilt KAE, I use seafoam every 10k mi (3 times since rebuild) to keep everything clean and hopefully keep the engine healthier in the long run. If you have your motor out, just take off those intake runners. You can use seafoam by pouring some inside the intake manifold and runners. Use a small long wire brush to scrub inside those parts and remove that carbon build up. Wash off, remove emissions (optional), use new intake manifold gaskets and install! :bigok:
