no clutser lights??

all the rest of the lights on the car work, 1st click on the switch and the marker lights come on, but there's no gauge lights. bought a new dimmer switch, also I have the dash off and have traced wires all day and still nothing. any ideas? the gauges work fine warning lights come on and go off once running. just the illumination doesn't work.

Do you have a digital speedo?

nope its just a hatch back. has a jdm cluster, but I tried the stock cluster and dosen't work with either.

i have the same problem, but since im a tru G (by that i mean i just dont care) i havent fixed that in a year. For a cheap ass ghetto trick fix, take off the plastic face plate and trace all the numbers and needles in luminescent paint.

Supposedly it's your tcu (timing control unit) I have the same problem and i've ordered one from someone, i'll let you know if it works when it gets here.

My suggestion worked for me, I recommend it, its the first time i've seen the dash lights since I bought the car.

Yep went over them all, But i just direct wired a ground and a power to a switch for the lights at the moment, getto but it works haha

what is the part number for the timing control unit? someone took it of the car before i bought it.

i had the same problem with my 240... my lights went out. i had to take the frond side panel off which is located in the driver side where your fuses go and remove the small white box thats screwed to the side in front of the fuse box. open it ( its a circuit bored covered with a plastic box) and weld the circuit bored where it had burned. it happens when you put a cd player and are doing the wiring. allot of time the two wires that aren't supposed to touch flipping touch and burn the circuit. i just welded it like 6 months go and its been working just fin... my seat belt motor... thats a different story :)...
