So I'm getting ready to possibly accept this job in Germany (instead of Japan like I really want) with the USGov and decided to take a look their auctions to see what good is out there.

I came across this 200sx with a 2 front rotor caliper set up. I was wondering if anyone had seen this before and why would one do that? I mean, they must be making tons and tons of horse power to need that much braking power. Maybe they couldn't afford heavy duty calipers. LOL

Any thoughts?

wow, twice the unsprung weight and only slightly more fade resistance and braking power.

I cant even imagine how quickly THOSE rotors would heat and warp.

Helps you stop quick when the sheep are crossing the autobahn...
A friend of mine's dad ran two calipers a rotor on the front of his kit car Lambo Diablo, he was using a viper motor, thats the only time ive seen it done and his was set for lauch/burn out control, one set was controlled by his brake pedal and the other was hooked up to an e-brake type lever so he could lock the front and do huge burnouts...
If that gives an idea as to what that one might be used for...

You can do the same thing with one brake caliper and a line lock.

/\/\/\ u mean how the fronts just lock up all the time? i can't imagine that the bias on this car is correct. but who knows....

R compound tires are mandatory when running that much braking force.

Ridiculous.

What a waste of 300ZX calipers.

Have fun with those flat spots on your front tires!
