SO yeah i have searched and heard you can run 17" wheels on ka, but what is everybody else running on their single cam ka24e. Mine is mainly set up drift, please help me out. None of the usually off topic shit just chim in if you have a ka24e and what wheel set up are you running. Has any body tried to drift with 17" on ka24e doe's it not feel natural. 15 have more natural drift, but spin to much in opnion.. Can you help me out:sadwavey:

Actually, no. 17" wheels will not work with the ka. Just try to put them on the car, they won't go on!:eek2:

edit:
but really, I know what you're asking, despite an epic fail in the English department. You're probably gonna want smaller wheels if you have less power. I'd be more concerned about wheel/tire width than diameter, however.

um, you can drift with any size tires.. lol

just need the power

just roll on steelies, get an lsd, and coilovers, put your money where it matters??

just a suggestion

good luck

well im going to chime in too. Given i have a Kade motor and not a Kae but I just wanted to say that I like 15" wheels for drift. On the street I use my 16inch super advans. But drift on 15's for now until I get my swap in.

i say stick with the 15" get decent suspension and weld the diff. oh and make sure you have power steering before you star learning because drifting without Power steering Sucks Balls.

It really doesn't matter at all. Since you're just starting to drift my guess is that you will be running shitty tires. Shitty tires are easy to spin. Horsepower is NOT even close to necessary for drifting, just ask AE86 drivers, technique is necessary. It is harder to hold a drift with low power and sticky tires, but not impossible. For beginners you will be running on very tight low speed tracks, it's not untill you start doing high speed drifts that horsepower becomes really beneficial.

I sure hope you're ESL.

I don't see any problem, really. Given your situation, however, I doubt you'd notice the difference and you might find it easier to get sideways if anything.
