Hellow everyone im in the process of building my s13 basically ive bought everything except clutch, injectors, and cams. I know what i want for clutch and injectors but i dont knwo what cams to get. im shooting for 400-500hp the mods I have if it helps

brian crower springs & retainers
minor port and polish
gt3076r
synapse top mount
cp pistons .20 overbore
theres obviously alot more to a 400hp build but i dont think it wil help decide what cams to use so the list stops there

I do plan on bringing the car to the track once in a while but its still going to see the streets often so i dont want a full race cam.

crower cams all the way
they are amazing, and because brian crower focuses primarily on the production of camshafts they provide a superior product at a far lower price than hks or many of the other leading companies

looks like someone selling hks step 2 264's on here for very cheap less then the price of one if i can get them i will if not i like the idea of the cheaper brian crower cams but if i have to i will pay for the hks name.

272's ruin spool, and have almost no effect on top end.

alright well seems like 264 are the way to go. Now to decide between hks or bc. I would save alot on bc cams but would this be a mistake gogin with the cheaper cams??? Also what is the difference between hks step 2 264's and hks step 3 264's?? On hks website it shows them as same lift and duration. Sorry i dont know my stuff when i comes to cams lol
