i hear the blackberrys are very solid on software and not buggy like the windows ran smartphones.. but i like windows cuz of all the third party software etc..

but i cant decide.

I want one because of wifi... i dont plan to get a data plan.. but i want to surf the net and get on aim via third party software and wifi. I think both cna do it. both are simular price with new tmobile contract.

Anyone with experience of both?

depends on what you want to be able to do with the phone. the wing is nice, but i think it's too big. i've carried both and i stuck with the 8320.

the 8320 also has more security features and is simpler.

or...

you can wait till the bb 9000 series comes out. its going to be sick as fuck.

i have the tmobile wing.. and messed arond with the 8320

i have had it for about 2 months?

things about it

touch screen, i love that
camara is great 2mega pix
records video, video is alright quality
internet is great (u download things into it to make it do things it normally doesnt do, which is awsome, like play youtube, use gps ext..)
aim is wak!!!! compared to the sidekick
oh and the processor sucks balls!!!!(if you have to many things going it wont let you do things)
last thing tmobile doesnt have a 2g internet, like everyone else does, so internet is like a little bit faster then dial up, not much though)

im having second thoughts about my wing...

the 8320 has a wayyyy better processor,(run a lot of programs with no problem), and it has a internet system thats good (2g)

i wanted to be different because i see that everyone has blackberries
seriously go with the 8320

your going to want to shoot yourself after you get used to the wing, because you will want to do things fast, but it lags if you do to many things at the same time

wing=fail 8 out of 10 (only because i have patience, and dont use big applications, just the phone, camara, games, music, and aim)

I've had the Wing for +6 months and I think its a solid device. Yes it is pretty bulky and heavy, but I dont really mind since I dont talk much. Out the box the processor is very slow but if you think about it, the touchscreen is faster than having to scroll to find everything. Another plus is the ability to tweak the phone's settings through 3rd party software. I've overclocked mine to 247 mhz from the stock 201.

Here's where you can find great tweaks (use at your own risk) http://forum.xda-developers.com/

The wifi is kinda wack. I hardly use it cuz I can just use my laptop to surf. It lags alot w/o 3G and its not as pretty as that damn iPhone!

I bought mine through a slickdeals hookup for $50 after rebate http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=606620

Don't expect iPhone quality hardware although Microsoft just released Windows Mobile 6.1 that will go into future devices although I think the Wing is being left out of the upgrade, for now. I would wait to see what Tmobile's gonna have next. I think they're due for a new smartphone

i have the 8320 and love it.
wifi is pretty sweet. i like it for the music player. turn it on and work on my car with out having an ipod or computer to have music.(radio sucks in my shop)

the camera is a 2 megapixle i know thats not great but for a cell phone its not to shabby

hmm,

heres something else to think about.

Wing -
Pros -more options to customize your phone the way you like it. Hax. OC. it's HTC. Touchscreen.

Cons - Big, less security functions than the 8320. personally i dislike the keyboard. Shitty battery life.

BB 8320
Pros - Extremely reliable. Stable. Has lots of security features. Has multiple redundancy on data features. Aircraft grade plastic screen makes it shatter proof. Small/thin. Ability to make calls using UMA. It has all your chat clients built in. annnnd a totally awesome connection manager that shows your signal strength. Great battery life.

Cons - no touch screen. i hate the trackball. i wish they had kept the scroll wheel like on the 8700 models and earlier. looooong ass boot time. and, why get the 8320 when the 9000 series is just around the corner.

Please don't get the wing, Ive owned one and I hated it. Its big as hell, and it will freeze, and or be very slow at times. There are tons of features, but way too many than needed in a phone. The plus side is decent Internet, and great camera/video.
