im about to rebuild my z32 calipers. i just got them powder coated and i was wondering if i should sand this paint off here where the boot covers or they will be fine with paint there?

ha, well those arent my calipers. i was using the picture as an example. mine has paint on them where the arrow is. but yeah thanks.

I would sand it off just to be sure. Then go about rebuilding them as normal(hone the cylinder.....)

If yours is something similar to the picture just put the new parts in, you'll be fine, no need to do anything else to them.

where did you read about painted pistons? if you read and look at the picture it has nothing to do with the piston. and my calipers look nothing like that. the surface where the arrow is pointing at is painted.

nah serious shit jus sand the lip 4 ur piece of mind. shouldnt be a problem tho as long as its not all the way across the whole lip to the inner wall
