Sorry for yet another tach question but when i did my SR swap I think one of my friends tried to connect an aftermarket tach off the ECU. After searching i found out this more than likely popped the resistor. So....i ordered the tach signal pick up from summit and connected it to an aftermarket tach and nothing.

So here are my questions.....because I'm tired of dealing with this.

Will someone using the tach signal pick up WITH SUCCESS please let me know what i may be missing. I've good 12v and good ground. The tach was tested on another car and it worked.

I may want to forget the aftermarket route so....if the resistor is popped is it easy to fix? Thanks in advance!

try the cas signal wire for 120dg pulse. That is the same as tach output, but, you need a "digital input 4cyl tach"

Thanks appreciate the help....turned out the tach i had did not recognize the signal from the GMR. Got another one and worked like a charm. Thanks
