I bought an auto 1989 240sx and it has the wiring harness chopped in 3 pieces. i figured while i am trying to find another harness i would try to repair the original one to save money. the problem is that there are 3 red with white stripe wires in the same part of the harness. Does it matter how i mate them up? also there are 2 red with black stripe wires in the same area of the harness. why would they use the same color of wire in the same area of the harness? Do the red with white stripe wires have to be sodered to right red w white stripe or does it matter?
Does anyone have a miring harness that will work?

I saw pics of that and it looked a mess. GL I hope you can figure it out. Try some junk yards, but I am sure someone on here will be parting out a car and have the harness

Any ideas on the wiring harness? does it matter how the three different red with white strip wires are wired?

i should tell you where the harness is cut at...
once at the drivers side fender, again at the drivers side floor board and again at the fuse box under the dash

Which body style do you need? Coupe or Hatch?
Yes there is a difference between the two.
The coupe harness has two plugs for the tail lights and the hatch has four. If you are familiar with modifying harnesses using a hatch harness for in a coupe and visa versa is possible.
Another thing if you are looking for a coupe harness, they are relatively hard to find. I have spent six months trying to find a coupe harness for an automatic transmission and could not find anything.
In the end I bit the bullet and I am in the process of doing a full five speed swap, including the wiring harnesses and ecu.
