My idle was reset on my car by following the steps in the shop manual.

The problem is that it idles around 1200 rpms when warm. It doesn't stumble or fluctuate (its actually more stable now than before the turbo install)

I'm wondering if I can lower the idle without any ill effects like a stumbling idle or rich condition or should I just leave it as is.

I'm running a JWT ECU and Z32 MAF.

Just adjust it by the Screw on the intake manifold

lower it using the FSM instructions.

I have my idle set higher then FSM state at around 900.

You also should check and make sure your high idle is not set from have your throttle cable to tight and holding the TB open a bit at idle.
