I was really confuse on the coilover spring rate.. is it the number of kg go up more stiff or soft or the number of kg go down more stiff or soft.

I ran Stance GR+ Pro.. I belive the spring came with 12kg front and 10kg rear. and the extra spring came with is 9kg front and 7kg rear... but I dont feel the difference

the stock spring rates should be 8/6 with 9/7 as the extra set. shouldn't be much of a diff.

Yeah, I don't think Stance offers 12/10 Set-ups

1 kg/mm of spring rate is equal to about 52 lb/in of spring rate. That small of a difference in spring rate will go un-noticed by all but the most experienced of drivers as it will be VERY subtle. If you decide the 8/6 springs that were on there stock LMK! I could use those, LOL!

you get the 12/10 spring rates with the Stance GR+ Pro R package. They come with the 9/7 springs as a replacement. It seems with that big of a difference you would be able to feel a little softer ride with the 9/7's.... Sorry to hijack, but i've got a spring rate question as well.

Since the stance's come with another pair of stiffer springs...would it be a good idea to go up one kg for the front springs (i'll have an RB25 up front) to counteract the extra weight of the engine? I'm thinking like 9kg up front, 6kg in the back (since the standard rates for the GR+ pro is 8/6). any opinions?

It might, but it all depends on YOUR driving style. Every driver likes different things from their car. A 9/6 set-up as opposed to a 8/6 set up should give the rear a bit more grip, but it will be almost un-noticeable. If you really wanna make a big difference then you need a bigger change than 1kg.

Then what's the point of stance giving you another set of springs that are only 1kg up if most people won't even feel a difference? I don't wanna pay extra for something i dont' need

I really don't understand why stance did that because it is not much of a difference. The best reason that I can think of is changing the balance of the car. If you run a 9/6 or an 8/7 set-up you can make a somewhat noticeable change on the car, but it will only be noticeable to an experienced driver though as the run of the mill enthusiast couldn't tell the difference (in handling) with 12k springs.

Driving style is what really counts, with my current setup, i swapped the rear springs for the 7k's to fine tune how i like my car to react on track.
