I dont have ecu bolted to car. Should touching the wire cause a stall?
Is there away to repair the harness plug? ie make the connection stronger. thanks? Im assuming a wire is loose right where harness plugs into ecu.

id say just re pin them and make sure no cuts or anything coz itll create a short.

Thanks for the reply. What does re pin mean? I dont know how you could solder in such a small area.
you just do it haha.
if you want to make it easier
pull the harness out from the firewall you could also do it that way.

I have found the loose wire. Does the blue connector open up or anything?

Seems that it was the computer that was the problem. The pins were not lining up with harness plug for some reason. This was a used computer i bought for backup. I guess I could push the pins to one side or the other to get it to work . Is it common for a replacement computer to have issues with pins lining up? Thanks for your help, btw:)

If the pins don't line up then you've got the wrong computer for that harness.

when someone says "repin" it means to replace the wire ends with a new connector (metal tab thingy). it also means to reposition the wire in the actual harness plug, which is not what you will be doing.
why isn't your ECU bolted to the chassis? do you like your ecu flopping around like an 80 year old labia?

Im testing for codes so not bolted. the pins go in the holes but they are not making solid contact for some reason. my two other computers dont have this problem.
