**Thanks guys, problem solved

Alright, so yesterday i was trying to adjust the hoodpins on my cf hood.
I finish, and back the car out, and theres a HUGE puddle of oil (maybe like 1/8 qt?) on the garage floor.
I checked for any leaks after i changed my oil (3 weeks ago) and there were none.

So today i took a look underneath..
I'm pretty sure i found out whats leaking, but i have no clue what it is.
It seems to be an electrical connector, which puzzles me..
Also, i put paper towels surrounding it on top in case it was something else dripping onto this part, but its not.. im pretty sure theres oil coming out of here.

I circled the part in question, and i'm holding what it connects to.
Ive tried tightening it down, but its not loose, and i cant fit a wrench in there.

More pics, farther out for reference

My oil filter isnt leaking either.. Its tight and nothing comes out

Any help is appreciated!
My car is still sitting in the garage..

Thanks!

I believe that's the stock oil pressure sender?

Yes, that is the stock oil pressure sending unit. I just call it the dummy light sensor.

Find a deepwell socket that will fit it and snatch it out. Replacements are cheap as hell at parts places. Not much more from a stealership. If you want to keep it stock then change it, if you want to go with an actual gauge then do it now. Just install the sensor/or pressure line for the gauge in the same hole.

That's your oil pressure sender, its the thing that give you a heart attack when it turn on the yellow oil light in your dash. Get a dye kit to find the leak.

Edit: you guys beats me to it, vultures. j/k.

I just had that happen to me a couple of months ago. I took my car to get it smogged, not only did it fail miserably but when they pulled the car out of the shop there was a quart of oil sitting on their floor. It's your oil pressure sensor. Go to your local part store, pick one up for $10, unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. Then you'll be back on the road.

Edit: That's what's leaking, that's what you need to replace. They go bad after a while.

dont put it in the same hole. :ghey:

nissan uses BNPT (british pipe thread pitch) for the sensor, while aftermarket ones just use normal NPT. Don't screw up threads.

Thanks guys..
I bought it at checkers for like 8 bucks (they call it the oil pressure sender/switch), bought a 1 1/16 socket, and changed it out.
5-10 minute job.
No oil leaks.

I got cheap on my last car and just rethreaded the hole to the same thread of the sensor plug because a friend of mine warned me about this. I'm cheap, but not lazy.

Thank you for pointing this out again though. Still running a dummy light on the daily, I should go ahead and get busy on switching to the gauge setup.

Yellow light? Interesting. It's red in every car I've sat in.
