so I ordered some tanabe sustec pro s-oc 2 coils and they didn't come with the pillow ball mount. I called tanabe and they said they no longer have their pillow ball mounts and that I might be able to use tein ones but he didn't sound too sure. Also called frsport and they said the tein ones should work but again were not 100% sure. I am just wondering if anyone has had any experience doing something along these lines or if anyone knows first hand if this will work. I just would like to know before I place the order.
thanks

does this look like it will work? I think it looks pretty good, but yet this is my first set of coilovers I have ever placed my hands on so I am not familiar with them by any means.

does the strut pin mount screw completley into the camber plate as long as it does and theres no play in it then you'll be fine

I tightened the bolt all the way down (by hand), with no springs, and it does go all the way down and then it just pivots inside of the ball with no other play.

then you'll be fine if there was any play then you can just got down to home depot plumbing/copper section and get a sleeve bearing

Is that how you put them together? Camber plate against where the top hat would be? Or is it spaced out?
You have to be sure that the plate has free tilt around the bearing inside the plate and can spin independently or you're going to have some serious problems.
As long as you did that, you should be OK.

yup still has plenty of room to pivot, and man do I love my coilovers, I just wish my buddy would call me back so I can get it aligned!
