ok so here is the deal, my sr20 died last fall, and i got an ls1 i hopes of being able to do the swap over the winter. but now that its spring, i didnt want to sit and look at the engine anymore, and i realized i dont have the facilities right now to do that kind of swap. so i got another sr and the ls1 has got to go.
the motor is out of a 99 Camaro SS. the car had 60,000 miles on it, i saw the motor run before it was pulled. ran perfectly smooth, no leaks.
this motor is super clean, would eat off it in an instant.
its a full long block. i dont have a transmission to go with it, but you can find a t56 pretty easy. i paid 1500 for it and right now money is tight and i just need it gone. $1200 OBO!!!
i dont have any pictures right now, cause my camera is having some issues, but im pretty sure anyone who wants to buy an ls1 knows what it looks like and this one is super clean. The motor is located in Albany NY, if you want to come take a look give me a call 512-964-6612 im Ben. for a negotiable price i might be willing to deliver the engine to either NYC or Boston, i just need this thing gone.

paperwork, like a reciept, andything that has compression number, miles etc. on it.
the normal thing when buying an engine like this.

i purchased the motor from an individual. he was pulling this motor so that he could swap in a built ls7. there is no paperwork, because it didnt come from a junk yard or a salvage company. I dont have compression readings, but from hearing this motor run i am willing to stand behind it.
also while i was out in the garage taking pictures i saw that i also have a skyline cross member which makes the install a whole lot easier. Im willing to throw that in for an extra 50 dollars.

I would consider shipping...but there is no chance im dealing with paypal with this sum of money, it would have to be money order

Are you sure this is a 1999? I believe in 99 (possibly even late 98) they switched the head cases/covers with the 4 center bolt style, versus the 9/10 bolt style in the pictures. I'm just curious. No powersteering or alternator brackets?

dont have any of the accessory brackets, but you can pull those out of any junkyard for pennies.
i went back and looked at my emails with the guy i got it from and it is a 98, not a 99 like i had thought. sorry about the mix up.
1000 dollars cash takes this home today with a money back guarantee the engine will run. this is the best ls1 deal your gonna find

engine is located just outside Albany NY in Troy. I dont have specific engine numbers, but i have seen the engine run and it has good compression.
it would be pretty expensive for me to bring it to boston. its a 340 mile round trip and my jeep gets just above 11mpg and the tolls, and pretty much a full day of me driving, probably 225, I am coming to boston on the 11th for some competition...i wonder what they would do if i just threw it under the charter bus. if your really interested im sure i might be able to make that work. all you would have to do is pick it up at the Marriott
