i've wondered the same thing. also, why do people get the lights on the hood that replace the windshield squirters? i've seen brand new cars have them

The windshield squirters are dumb as hell. However the antenna deals are cool. No wind resistance for the antenna if it's not there. Remember the late 70's Chevy fullsizes had antennas built into the windshield, and they got good reception.

I am gonna shave mine when i get the body work done i didnt have a power one anyways and the one on it was so high it looked like a radio contolled car. Plus i dont listen to the radio anyways not since i got a computer with a burner. I want to check out that satelite(sp) radio my friend had it in his car and it is crystal clear, but I dont know much about it though.

I'm not too big o the whole shaving thing...These two clowns that live somewhere in Indianapolis are into it though. One has a cavalier, and the other, a sunfire. Both car's have completely clean backend, no lights, no emblems..only a liscense plate. The brake lights are just sitting up on the rear deck of the car. Not to mention..the back ends of both of their cars are primered...whereas the fronts are factory paint. No wings, cans or air dams for these guys..just a shaved, primered backends.

Why we are on the subject of antennas...can you replace the stock antenna with a bmw antenna? I know it would take some work, but I hate the look of this long ass piece of metal sticking out the backend of my car. The bmw antenna (off of a 3-series more than likely) is just what I want...short, black, and hardly noticeable. I have a 97 240 by the way.

I'm going to shave mine, but only cause it doesn't work anyway and I have an MP3 deck. However, in my sister's hatch we're gonna shave it and install a FUBA (or whatever) antenna on the rear windshield.

oh ow those hidden attenas are really expensive anybody know where you can get it cheaper? I am going to shave my antenna off to or get a new one that is not as long and works. My antenna right now is a power one and the mast is stuck or something and it doesn't go down anymore. It is very frustrating cause Whenever I drive decently fast I can hear the anteena swing around outside. It is soo long makes my car look kinda odd.
