I just finished my redtop swap and the engine has a very annoying metallic rattle, does not sound like timing chain- noise is loudest at front of engine on cylinder head, goes away with any rpm higher than idle, any suggestions?
Also my cooling system does not build pressure, I have no external leaks, temp averages around 192 according to consult-II and my fans work great - not sure bout this:hammer:

check your oil for coolant, make sure it doesnt look milky

Cooling system needs to be bled.
Air in lifters, loose rocker arms, bad timing chain tensioner, destroyed oil pump.
OR OR OR.
The water pump is toast, creating both issues.

Lifters were noisey at first start up then they pumped up and were ok every start up since, stethescope on the water pump is quiet just sounds like a normal pump, gonna check oil pressure tomorrow I don't want to daily drive it until this noise is resolved
Noise sounds like a someone left a wrench on the intake manifold and its rattling lol but that is not the case i checked for all loose brackets and possible missing tools - no dice, noise is definitely from front of engine close to head

There is a safety guard in between the cams for the chain, inspect that for wear.
