EDIT: Wouldn't you need a special film to put on your windshield to properly see it?

The film is not included and yes you are right. However the piece of film is just 45% tint. If you read on Defi's website that is what it recommends replacing it with. I have it on my window right now without tint and it does have a little "double vision" going on. However for fun last night I took a piece of sarahn wrap and put it up on the window and that took away most of the glare, it wasn't perfect but with actual tint you should be just fine.
