I search a few overheating posts on here and ive found no one else with this problem. When i turn my heater on the temp gauge shoots up an inch in a split second, and it does the same when i hit the power windows up and down. Its kind of strange, when i turn the headlights on this does not happen. im guessing the temp sensors could be shorting out, but which one should i replace? their are 3 total correct? or is it something else? thanks

Sounds like a ground issue as well. Those sensors dont usually go bad like that. they usually either work or dont.

mine had strange issues like that when I first bought my 240. Literally, I took the temp sensor harness off, cleaned up the corrosion on the sensor / harness, put it back. bam, no more problem. This was the temp sensor by where the upper rad hose meets the block.

I checked all my grounds and i sanded the paint off where the grounds touch the engine bay, this helped it a little bit it only does it sometimes now. ^^^Ill try this as well thanks guys
