cliffs : car has jdm turn signals, was a zenki to kouki conversion and now I cannot fit the socket plugs for the turn signals into the bumper lenses so I dont have turn signals in the front currently. HELP

-------------------------
ok so I bought this car last friday and thought that the kid had ricer signals hooked up because the blinker was going off all fast.

Turns out my front turn signals are not hooked up at all, but yet I have these fancy knock off clear turn signals (notice the irony in that statement) on the front of the car.

After getting under the car and looking around I saw that the signal lights were zip tied to the fiberglass fenders for whatever reason I still dont understand.

So I went to walmart to pick up some new bulbs, got them to fit and tested them and they're all fine and dandy and i'm ready to join the world of people who have front turn signals again.

Then to my dismay I found that the light bulb sockets wont fit in these bumper lenses, they're too big.

I bet if I was using the usdm kouki bumper signals they would fit just fine.

So my question is, since I obviously have to change the sockets the bulbs go into, does anyone have any idea what nissan part numbers I would look for as I have had little to no luck searching on nico, zilvia, socal240sx, fresh alloy, google, etc.

What kinda bulb? I'm not an S14 guy, but more than likely, the bulbs are 194 bulbs, which don't put enough load on the circuit, so it thinks there's no bulb in there, which in turn, makes it blink fast to tell you there's a bulb out somewhere. If that's the case, you'll need a resistor pack to wire in line to make them blink normally, or a different flasher unit, designed to work with light load bulbs/LEDs.

No the regular 1126 or something or other bulbs fit, as I stated I plugged the bulbs in and tested the signals out but I cant get the plugs to fit into the sidemarker now.

anyone that posted any pics in the threads I found on fresh alloy dont exist anymore but from the looks of it I may have to pick up the plugs for sidemarkers for the lights to fit in the turn signal lenses.

something like that, I don't have any of the stuff in front of me, however the bulbs do not fit inside of the lense housing nor do the plugs.

I basically need all 3 of these plugs.

Does anyone have any idea what the part numbers would be? I can only find the usdm part's for the kouki turn signals.

I'm assuming I will probably have to get two of these plugs here. Since I already have two of them on my car, but I have no idea where to get that female harness connector. I'll have to rip the front end off of my car and look at all of the wiring this weekend.

what u need is another one of the grey male connectors if u wanna go this route and seperate the wiring so they do not come out the same connector (damn that sounded terrible)

Let me get a pic

I know we have the actual connectors on the car I can't think of the colors right now, for some reason purple stands out right now.

Or you can try to see if the usdm zenki/kouki bulb holder fits in the jdm turn signal bulb hole if it does u lucked out.

Yeah I have that thread saved on modifying the turn signals.

http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=114133

But I dont have any of the other parts necessary. I believe I may have the side marker male socket for the light to go in, looks like I will need another one to replace the standard front light on the US kouki front bumper that takes the larger bulb so I have two of those.

Sigh it's really a mess under that bumper.

my stock zenki sockets wouldnt fit for the jdm kouki signals.
what i did for mine is i took some signal light sockets from one of the b15 sentras at a junk yard. and i think the regular sidemarker ones fit right?
but then both of them dont fit into those locking notch things so i use tape to hold them in

edit: holy shit i was first searching for what size bulbs the jdm signals use and didnt realize i just bumped a 5 month old thread

jdm zenki, usdm zenki, usdm kouki plugs dont fit. you have to do what thatdrifterguy did, or buy them from WestCo as they are complete with the wiring in the picture. you still have to get a made connector to mate with the female end on the light. come to think of it, i hope the shop got me hooked up lol. and IIRC, those who have the aftermarket clear turn sifnals, notice how they usually only have one bulb. the areas for the other 2 holes are usually just taped off, lame. i had em on my Origin lights on my old kouki.
bad man bumping old thread, anyway, now more info is in here.

I bought aftermarket turn signals when I got my JDM Kouki front, and I didnt have the wiring harness for the turn signal either. I asked WestCo Justin and he said he cant get it. Instead, I went to the junk yard.....

....and found me an old Nissan (I believed I pulled it from an old Maxima) that also used dual 194 sockets, and took everything that was there: sockets, harness, and wiring. I wanted my turn signal to be visible on the side, so I opted to ditch the oem US sidemarker socket, and use both sockets as turn signal. Then I just tapped power and ground from the stock turn signal, and wired up the dual 194s, and BAM, blinkers are back in action....for free....

I will take some pics of it later for you....

Yeah I just ordered 4 wedge sockets and I will just change the lights to adapt to those pins and extend the wires.
