5 speed swap question

hey guys i'm about to swap my auto ka24 for a 5 speed and have few questions please help me out
my car is a 98 so its an obd2
i know the obd2 cars came out in 96 but r all the 95 240sx obd2 or obd1
this guy wants to sell me his tranny of a 95 and i want to know if it will work with my car i want everything to work properly like the speed sensor etc.
also is the lower harnes different in 95 and 98?

That trans will work. harness might be different though. I am pretty sure they are the same, But i have never looked at them side by side.

it'll work, any s14 tranny will work, even the s13 tranny will work, you would just have to use your s14 speed sensor if you do cause the plug is different. if you wanted however you could make your own plug or just solder the 2 wires together. my point is, 89-98 5 speed transmission will work with your car, and not cause a check engine light.

Wrong, 89-94 do not have the CPS in the top of the Tranny and will throw a misfire code.
