Hi all. Its time for me to get smogged and i'm throwing code 82-CPS. I tried resetting but after 1 start the code came back on. I looked under the car and my CPS is completely gone. I have a manual swap so it must have broke off last time we changed the clutch. I have an idea of which wires went to it but I am not completely sure. Would someone mind taking a pic of the sensor itself along with the wires, so I know what to look out for? If you could tell me the colors of the wires for that sensor too it'd be great.
I have a 96 S14, therefore, OBD2. Can't really do much to get smogged with a CEL :(

There's a subharness for the CPS, comes off the lower harness near the firewall. The CPS itself is a black plastic unit covered by a steel heatshield.

I'm pretty sure I have the right spot. Here's my CPS:
(sorry in advance for huge file sizes)

I took this from the driver's side behind the exhaust manifold. As you can see, the part that hooks onto the 2 little tangs is broken, and there are no wires connected to it.
Here's a closer pic of the CPS itself:

Yes, it's indeed broken. The subharness may be hanging under the car somewhere, the other side of the plug comes off the lower harness and runs up the bellhousing.
I have both pieces if you need them.

mind you its a manual swap, so I'm using a hacked auto harness

neme I saw your other thread about using a manual harness, could you tell me what color the CPS wires are? I have one strand that's not connected to anything, with pink wires, could that be it?

Pink sounds right, I think it's pink and light blue. It hangs off the lower harness on either auto or manual.
Not the same as the rear O2, it's a 3wire on your car.
