Bah why would you do that! FA is like a doctors visit to me, its a cold, sterile place and I never leave happy.

use the search option........ j/k. I also got to admit though things have been beaten to death to the point that newbies with questions have been told to use the search link and most of the times turned away.

I only go to FA for serious questions, like turbo sizing and stuff.  Then some people help, others mock, and then I leave, and come back to the warmness of Zilvia.  Back where I have absolute power... mwa hahaha.
No, but really, I hate FA, and is a last resort.

ca18guy - true, but they have alot of info, and there are a bunch of guys that can answer pretty much anything u ask. As long as you don't make a fool outa yerself...

Potatoskins - that's what i was doing all the time i was here. I'd chat, but when i had to find something out i'd go to fa and make a search. But lately i cant find answerrs in search on either zilvia or fa. Like my question bout afprs. Neither forum had any info. So i had to post. Noone replied on zilvia. On freshalloy i got one reply, but it answered most of my questions.

I mean lately i just scan headlines and see if something can possibly interest me. I don't even look into conversion pages or ka vs sr stuff.

I agree.  That's why I came here in the first place.  If I ever have a question that no one here or yahoo can't answer, I can generally find it with the search at FA.  Basically, the car is over ten years old - there ain't nothing new!  If you aren't successfully using search over there, you are probably wasting everyone's time.

Here, I've managed to convince a few people to have their best experience ever in a car at the track, helped people do some things, and learned a fair bit myself in the process.  Post a track day at FA and it gets moved to the never read meets forum.  Ask a question about driving and few will answer - unless its So Cal drifting - b/c it is mostly dyno and JDM queens.  Try to get some community by knowing your members and you will be frustrated.  <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sneaky.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':pissed:'>

It seems I'm not the only one who does the same thing.  On Zilvia I know people...personally...and some I actually like j/k  <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>  <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>   But on FA you go, get info, and leave.  Most of the topics in advanced are over my head.  I'm not looking to make 400hp or shove a huge turbo under the ol' hood.  I am interested more in the lighter side of the 240 and the SR .

Nah, not always true!  I've seen some real interesting discoveries lately... posted on FA.  Someone discovered that stock 240SX open diff output shafts could be machined to fit into a 300ZX VLSD.  Someone else discovered that one SR mount is actually different from one KA mount and was causing engine mount failures for some people.

The cars may be ten years old but there's still more to discover here and there, especially as the aftermarket ramps up, and Nissan continues to build new cars based on the same basic architecture.

I definitely came here from FA for the sense of community, though.

true..i agree with people who say they only go on FA as a Last resort. i do the same. if i post something here that nobody knows about..i go on FA and post. FA itself seems slow too, worse than here i think [not saying zilvia is bad]. IMHO i think FA is dirty, i mean the place looks crowded and is overfilled with text everywhere. it also looks messy and unorganized.

when i first got my 240 i joined 240sx.org and sometimes went on zilvia.net but then on 240 they got into a big fight saying "ye ahe did my install wrong" etc etc. and slowed down so i went on here..and found out this place is way better in every aspect. now that 240sx.org changed into infinity *something*something*.com it looks just like FA. weird options i mean, i dont even know how to QUOTE on FA!!

zilvia.net is a better home.
