as i started cleaning my sr and getting ready to mount my motor to an engine stand. drained the oil and it gushed out. so im wonderin if this oil looks chocolate to all you

then i poured some new oil to wash it off

WOW that's a LOT of bearing material! Rod knock? It is a gold metallic chocolate!

Wow that motor looks chewed up.
I think it was just GRINDING on the bearings.

im pretty sure thats the new oil that he put in the engine to clean it.

im about to pop the whole oil pan tomm when i get back to work. ill post more pics

Then do the rod bearings, main bearings, re-sleeve and new pistons.

thats the light and im pretty sure i checked the oil with it and i didnt see any big chunks like that you just circled i even put my face close enough to wash my face on that dirty oil LOL. just wonderin about the fudge choco about the oil. BTW that motor has been sitting for 2 yrs and never ran after that. but more to come

No I am pretty sure the COPPER ON THE RIGHT is a chewed up bearing, racepar1 saw it too.
You can tell, by looking at the pixels.

The oil itself looks to have a copper metallic color to it, like suspended tiny bearing shavings.

LOL thats my book shelves reflecting from the oil and you can see the whole boxes stacked up there.

:D It looks like headgasket too.
Wow, never seen such mauled up oil before (at least not for a long time).
Flush it again, fill it up with fresh oil, then go race on it.
see if you can really really break it. if not maybe it's ok :D

i did compression test on it 1st. i had # 129 130 125 110. then poured small amount of oil the compression went up to 170 across the board.
