I can't stand it when people act like the prelude is sooo much faster than the 240.  I've run dead even with several preludes some of which had exhaust and a intake and what not, and my car is stock.

About 70% of the people that i've talked to that have preludes have their car shoved so far up there ass their pissin gasoline.  The last 30% have been pretty cool.  

And as for Nissan not making sports cars,  Nissan Started the Sports car erra IMO.  

anyway my point is that the prelude isn't all that much faster than the 240

I don't care which cars are faster.  My 240SX is exhilarating to drive and that's why I purchased it.  If I wanted to go mainstream, sure I'd probably want a honda.  I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with hondas, they're excellent cars, I like them.  But every honda I've ridden in or driven is the same.   I haven't driven the S2000 yet though.  It just pisses me off when people talk smack without knowing the facts.

I hate how Honda owners who think that their cars are the **IT.
Heres my opinion: **CK Hondas, They suck *SS, If I HAD to buy a honda, it would be the only decent car they make, the S2000, and for as much as it costs I would rather spend my money on a diffrent car like a 240 and put a swap in it and mod the heck out of it.

Shhh, you don't want a bunch of people jumping on you for "who gives a shit about USDM versions", do you? Not everyone is obsessed over JDM image....I agree that his "nissan sux" argument is lame, but u gotta give him that preludes are faster than us stock.

Side note. I was at this meet and met a guy who got a turboed type-r. We talked for a bit. He is running t3/t4 with tial 35mm and ssqv at 6.5psi. But his numbers are kinda disappointing:
He ran 14.3 with bolt ons
He ran 13.7 with the kit at @ 6.5psi
So yeah... i guess you can say honda's are bad for performance...

Arrggh!! The ingnorance in that kid makes me furious! First of all, he makes the post "Honda VS. Nissan". Then he has to try and narrow it down because he notices that he can only TRY to defend his ground on USDM cars because that is all he knows.

It makes me furious to see all these people hooking up Honda's and saying they are the best cars in the world. I don't mind people hooking up there cars but being ignorant and naive is totally different. No offense to Honda and Honda owers but I lived in Japan for the past 18 years (just moved to the states 6 months go) and Honda is nothing there. Rarely do you EVER see a "hooked up" Honda. It's nice to see sporty Honda's, especially the new Integra Type-R. I was amazed by it but I don't see owners of them going around telling people how they can waste Tercels.

No offense again but Honda's are what most people use to make fun of people (in Japan). IE:"Dude, your running like a civic." Again, I'm not saying Honda's are bad, but compared to what is available in Japan with, parts, pricing, knowledge and experience to work with these cars, parts, etc, it's hard to even make a comparison. And yes, I know this is not Japan but as far as the topic goes, I think its fair to include ALL Honda's and Nissan's.

In my opinion, it seems like this kid just got his new "lude" and was all proud of it so he decided to try and strut his stuff. Then when confronted, tried to win his case by comparing "apples to oranges", you just can't compare. I hope he finds his place in the car world and doesn't try too hard. However, I don't want to speculate too much so I'll stop there.

I am very pro-Nissan but I tried to write this as least biased as I could. I tried not to assume too much about anything. I am a proud owner of a R34 25GT-T Skyline pushing around 330HP back in Japan. I have pictures on my website I made a long time ago. It's at http://welcome.to/skylinegtr . I've also become a proud owner of a 240sx since I've been here and am very happy. The difference in power is a little dissapointing at first but I've learned to love the car <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>. I've always been partial to Skylines over Silvia's/180sx's but my mind is begining to change. My 240 will never be a 180 but I'm gonna try hard to make it close to one as possible <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>.

Naw, it's not exhaust soot. I lived in Okinawa, and during the fall and spring it rains for like a month straight so thats probably dried rain and dirt grime from the road.

Hey man, you said you lived in Okinawa for like 18 years right? I'm going to Japan May 21-29 next year. I know this may seem like a wierd question, but do you know of any places in the Tokyo area where I can find used parts for the Silvia. Sorry, its my first time going to Japan and I'm not sure how everythings "set up" over there. I guess the best place to look would be some sort of junk yard but if you know any other places let me know.. Nice car by the way. Im looking forward to seeing the Skyline for the first time in person when I go. The R34 GT-R is actually a BCNR34 and mine is not an HR34, it's an ER34. I think HR was used for the R32 Skyline GTS-T.

Baka Sama - I can't really refer you to any place is Tokyo because I've only been there twice. Tokyo might have a local published ad magazine where car shops post used parts. You'll really have to ask around and get info from local people. I know Okinawa has a magazine like that and you can get all kinds or parts for extremely cheap prices. Good luck on with your hunt <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>.

Ok. Just for everyones information I like both Honda and Nissan. But I would definatly take a 240. And as for that guy on that thread has anyone heard of 'blissful ignorance'? I love my 240 but i can't diss the hondas. &nbsp;they are very good cars. &nbsp;They do depend on vtec just like sr's depend on turbos. my friend has a 95 hatch with a b18c1 and that thing fukin flies dspecially on the highway where he has traction. he has a turbo kit sitting at home, but needs a fmu, feul pump, and an extra pipe to put it on. &nbsp;when he gets it on he will be harrasing anything from supras to s2k's and 240's with turbo and sr swaps. &nbsp;the turbo is a t25, so he doesnt have to depend on vtec b/c its at full boost before 3000rpm (vtec kicks in at 5,200rpm). the biggest problem he has is traction, he has none even with his falken azenis. so those of you who live in Northern VA watch out for this car, b/c you WILL get beaten by a civic <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>
There are 240's that are faster than my friends civic, but im just using his for an example. &nbsp;and those who think that is fast, there are many tegs and civics around northern VA that are in the LOW 11's. &nbsp;i've seen em and know their owners
would i take a nissan over a honda? maybe. i would DEFINATELY take a s2k over a 240.
