Hi,
I'm In The process Of Swaping EVO IX Brembos Into My S14....I've made the front adapter plate and i'm taking measurement For The Rear Cliper Adapter plate....
And I'll Swap My Stock BMC + Booster With a Z32 TT One's (BMC+Booster)....
And The Lines Are Endless SS Lines....And The Pads Are Endless Ceramic Pads,,,,,
Any Way My Qustion Is
What Brake Fluid Should I Use...The Usual DOT 3 (Cheap Way)...Or My Other Choice Is Endless RF-650 (expensive way)...that i can get localey (a Shop Just Imported some boxe's from Endless...
http://z-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_ID=8688&ParentCat=38
Also Does My Brake Hard Line's Can Hold The DOT 5.1 Fluid...And hold..Or they will blow under the pressure .....?
The Car Is My DD (For Now)..So It Will Not See Any Track Duty...yet..
**NOTE**
For The Z32 BMC+Booster...b/c i'll get them cheap and the Z32 Booster Is SMALLER then my Auto S14 Booster...so please guys don't give me hard time :squint:
Thanks And Kind Regards, :D

If you're just going to DD it, go cheap and use DOT 3 fluid. If you do a track day before you decide to swap over to high-performance fluid, just rebleed the system with fresh brake fluid.

ATE Super Blue or Motul FTW
x2, I used both in my Evo, the Super Blue worked well for a longer duration of DD.

I would use at least 4 if not 5.1, Stay away from 5.
they got 4 maybe 5 at your local auto parts store plus either way you go, you have the bleeders in the front of the caliper. cake.

Also I've Talked To Some EVO Guys And They Are Usuing ENDLESS RF-650 On there car's And two Of them DD there EVO's...
They told me to go with the Endless....Also Does Any one know If My Brake Hard Line's Will Handel the DOT 5.1....?
Thanks,

Cheap, good, and track proven = Valvoline Synthetic Dot 3 / Dot 4
Works great for me...20% street, 80% track...Z32 calipers on all 4 with Hawk HP+ pads.

i use bg brake flush dot 4, works great.
Just use the Valvoline stuff orion posted a pic of.
I like how it's cheap DOT3 fluid or some likely outsourced Endless fluid as the only options.
...and why the Endless pads - they never seemed special in the least to me, and are retarded expensive?

Can you order online somewhere to give you better options?
Where do you live?

+1 for the Valvoline Synthetic fluid. Its cheap and its dry BP is higher and its wet BP is only slightly lower than Ate super blue. I don't remember exact values though. For what it costs, it's actually quite good.
The short answer on why you don't want to use DOT 5 is that it is silcone based and it generaly incompatible with DOT 3/4 systems.

DOT 5 is Silicone. Won't work with Glycol based fluids(DOT 3,4,5.1). DOT4 Has a higher boiling point then DOT3 and is more ideal for performance applications.
DOT5.1 Was made to perform at Silicone levels without having to purge your lines and have the squishy feeling. They are now performing better than DOT 5 with a lot less water absorption then DOT3/4. Compatible with DOT3/4 but 2-3x the price.

Bingo. I've run nothing but that for nearly nine years in my own cars as well friends/customers, never had a problem.

as stated, DOT 5 is different, don't use it. other than that, brake lines vs. fluid rating make no difference. (the 3,4,5.1 rating only relates to boiling point). your brake lines will be fine.

no it's not. from the respective factory service manuals...
S14 Manual
D = 9.06"
S14 Auto/ABS
D1 = 8.07
D2 = 7.09
Z32
D1 = 9.06
D2 = 8.07
