my ps fluid is leaking as the hicas lines are leaking. it will cost abt 300 to get the hi pressure hicas ps lines installed which is almst what i need to pay for hicas elimination. its gettin eliminated without a bar, just endlinks and a chip to put in the hicas computer. cost abt 140 + ps pump (nonhicas) + labor. Is it worth holding on to hicas. its cool to have 4ws if it works, tho i hear its no good for drftin. i m also gettin some tokico coilovers soon, heard somewhere that most coilovers arent compatible with hicas. wat do u guys think

Go buy a non-hicas subframe for like $100+ at the junkyard. You'll also need the non-hicas powersteering pump($20 junkyard) and reservoir.

URAS makes the eliminator along with many other companies. You can probably find them on some small shop's site like FR Sport or Touge Factory or something.

You could lose all the extra parts that you wouldn't be using anymore.

Just an advice, not trying to offend you, but I think you're better off buying a newer car than paying other people to fix the many problems that you may encounter with a 240.

could just buy a normal rear-sub frame fore like 50 bucks...

that way you can do some ploy urethane bushings too.

just plug the lines off. hicas is dumb, though i only got to enjoy mine for like 2 weeks. but none the less, get rid of the extra hard lines and plug them off. it'll take like 2 secs.

i had the same problem. i got a regular p/s pump form a buddy but found them at the yunkyard for 20bucks. its not hard you could do it your self if you know how to lossen bolts and disconnect lines, just scope it out.
im in the process of taking all the lines and shit out. and im looking for a new subframe if anyone has one!

HICAS has nothing to with the suspension setup, so whether you choose coilovers or not is simply a call on what you can afford. Since you can't even afford to repair the car though I think you're in the wrong game.

Buy a Schwinn.
