hey guys i just installed my tein flex and just wondered if any of u guys replace the rear lower bolts that hold the dumper cuz the tein dumper has a kinda spacer and i wondered if the bolts wouldn't be too short and if it's safe?

I didn't replace mine and it works just fine. I put my flex on my s14 about a month ago and they ride like a dream.

How come my s14 on flex don't ride like a dream??? still a bit of body roll and feels like shit when going over uneven pavement/ cracks...lost of noise and dumping noise....but this may also be a direct result from shot subframe bushings.... Oh yeah, would people with tein flex post up some dampening settings for reference? mines currently f8/r10

I am at 8 all around on settings. I feel the body of the car flexing now which I couldn't before but I will fix that with spot welding and foam. I also Have polyurathane subframe spacers and that gets rid of a lot of the noise. just for referance and to let you know where I am at in relation to you:
I was coming from stock
whiteline adj. sways f/r
ES bushings everywhere I could
footwerks adj arms all around(toe, tension, ruca, traction)
front under brace
and the other usual stuff (strut tower brace,....)

Thats cool, i never knew that regional meets let people try out their suspension settings. My only coilover experiences are megan streets and my current flex. The only thing i missed with the stiffer megan streets were the less flex but hated it when going through bad roads. Anyways my current suspension consist of tein flex, cusco tension rod+strut tower, ES steering rack+sway bar bushings, moog tie-end, megan RUCA+toe...side note, megan components are rusting:hyper:

Hey Magilla, i been considering front under brace and rear sway bar upgrade, could you give us some input on how those components better enhance the feel of the car? Or help me out LOL

Damn I feel bad for my friend who bought megan parts... its true the arms rust like crazy.. it looks like parts of the titanic excavated from the sea and its only a year old.

had my flex's for almost a month and they ride like a dream as well, I run them stiff though, I ran the spring perches almost all the way to the top of the threads in the front and rear. I keep the dampers at 15 to 25, and the only thing I have noticed that I don't like is when I go over a bump where the suspension has time to fall and the strut fully extends there is a loud bang/thud noise. I have been meaning to ask if any one else has had this noise but from my searches I have not really found what I was looking for.

I would think the same thing but I have collars and it never made this noise on my cusco coilovers so... any other ideas?

Yo, flex is only 16 ways adjustable, but theres 24 clicks. Be sure not to exceed 16 clicks or else you'll danger your coilovers. Also i get that bang and dumps on my flex too, i hate it when that happens. It feels as if my car's going to fall apart. And about the rusting issue on megan components, the rear toe balljoints are rusting inside of the bushing, which result in squeaky noise and etc. Anyways i haven't got the suspension properly tuned...would anyone recommend some alignment settings?

I have the project silvia front under brace and honestly I can't feel a damn bit of difference or may be I haven't pushed it hard enough through a quick turn. I don't know but it was only 38 shipped and it can't hurt. The rear sway I did notice in a big way. I only installed the front whiteline sway at first with the stock se rear sway. I could feel my rear end wanting to come around in hard corners. Thats great for drifting and touge but ass on the road. The rear sway brought me back to neutral.

I went to wsir balcony and set it at full stiff to 0/1. Car understeered like it never has before. Set it at 1/2 and it was alot better. I just set it to 13/14 for daily drive and it's pretty comfortable for daily driving.
