Apparently they're looking for more front grip and downforce.

Anybody know anything else about this car??
All I know is the motor is being updated and undercarriage.
They're going to bring it out for more time attacks...

VERY sweet custom bodywork! Add a splitter and some canards (which I'm sure they will) and that will look and function pretty damn bitchin! That shit is not JDM tyte, it's DTM tyte^^^! LOL! Doesn't this car hold the tsukuba record for s-chasis? 57.2 I think.

its super easy yo. you could even use a steel drum to make the contours of the fenders. and the car is looking good, i just have one question: if they're in japan, why not just use an s15?

you can take classes at your local community college(body shop), it's not expensive and you get to meet friends.

in japan, due to lack of S16 the s15 pricing is extremely high, a s14 is about $2,000 to $4,000 for zenki while a s15 sell for over $10,000.
it's a race car made to hit the wall, you do the math.
cheers,

sam
PS: they do have a dinosaur decal, but it'e the one with 3 horn and walk on 4 legs.

Where can i find out info on lap records for tsukuba? Or do i have to just own every import mag ever for this information.

03-18-2008, 08:51 AM
Uh, successor to S15? Aka S15+1 = 16? Go back to math class 101.

It never came out, hence lack of s16.

I thought the Sunline Auto (I think thats the shop name) S15 held the S-chassis record...

I've wanted to do a M3 GTR type kit for my car for forever, I just don't have funds or skills, so it'll have to wait until I have both.

i dont get it, in one of the pix they bondo it, in these pix they made additional attachments or something that can be added/removed on the go like its bolted on as opposed to bondo'd on?

Well in either case more pix more pix heh

You can see they laid down material on the bumper before they started forming the additional pieces..So I would guess that they just put material on top to form the extra aero pieces, pulled the material which was under them off along with the formed piece, and then made molds and made copies out of fiber glass, then riveted the fiber glass copy to the bumper...

That makes it alot easier if a bumper gets destroyed or if you want to sell them to people, you just lay some glass in a mold and youre done.

what yellow s14? haha
sorry, my eyes were on the wide body bnr32 with abflug lip kit, bando mirrors, and panasports.
bondo was part of the tooling(mold) to make the part, the rest of the holes on the bumper are for canards.
funny, how they are still running old school nismo sideskirts from 1995.
cheers,

sam

if i remember right that car made right at 550whp at 22lbs. runs a tomei individual tb with plenium. and a td07 25g (w5 wheel) and a bunch of other go fast goodies. love the car i run the same turbo setup on my s14.5

jspecusa
03-19-2008, 05:14 PM
the car is now running T04Z, custom intake manifold with modified 50mm GTR ITBs, and ofcourse 2.2 kit.

what's strange is that it's only running 17x9 front and 17x10 rear now and it's got a kouki rear bumper with zenki rear valence.

oh I saw the car in person at TAS, but I only took photo of their BNR32 =P

Hmm i thought i saw WHP..

Possibly a total noob qestion but whats the difference btw. brake horsepower and wheel horsepower?

murda-c
04-22-2008, 07:22 AM
Brake horsepower is measured at the crankshaft and does not include losses from the transmission, universal joint/s, differential, wheel bearings, and tires.

Wheel horsepower is the actual effective horsepower.
