Stupid Question.
I'm in Okinawa (been here for about 2 years) and headed back for Cali at the end of this year. I drive a Nissan 180sx and love driving RHD.
I'm from San Diego, and haven't kept up with all the California bullshit laws of driving, but was wondering if there were/are any restrictions to converting a vehicle to RHD?
Any paperwork that i'd need to fill out at the DMV or anything or does that only apply to imported vehicles?
Thanks in Advance,
-Anthony

i thnk this topic was covered already, if i remmeber they said thres no law that says u cant do a rhd conversion, a rhd stock one is the ones that are illegal and u have to do all types of bs to get it registered
I am not sure about in california..
but in utah.. all you have to do is pass a safty and emission test..

if anything its a fix it ticket situation...
if anything, i believe its just frowned upon in L.A. because of the way streets are made...by that i mean people in Okinawa drive on the opposite side of streets compared to the way it is here in L.A.
so i dunno...
i doubt its Illegal

When the pull you over you say it's safer to be on this side.
Then you're a citizen that cares.

RHD is cool and all, but there is no point for a RHD vehicle in a LHD world.
As for your question I dont think its illegal but if you plan slap a sr or any other illegal motor.
Its just another reason to get stopped and popped.
