So for AutoX and track days, I know you are supposed to have your windows down. My problem is that I am going to my first autox on Sun, but my drivers side window is broken, it doesn't go down! Is this going to cause me a prob? What should I do about it? Please Help!

You should not be able to pass tech like that. Having the windows down is for safety. The door and door panel will catch any broken glass and you won't get guillotined.

If your window is shatteredand cracked, etc....that's a problem..if it simply won't go down...I don't think you should worry about it. No, you don't have to drive with your windows down but I do, just cuz I like the feel of the wind, and it kind of cools you off if it's hot. I also drive with my sunroof open because I'm a tall bastard and I have very little clearance bewteen my headliner and my helmet. And also, most courses aren't going to be fast enough to where having your windows down will affect drag wind resistance.

Alright, well hopefully it will be fine for the autox, I'll just have to get it fixed before the next track day. Thanks guys.

PS: Sorry about putting that in the wrong section

You should have your windows down just for safety. You might be able to get by with it.

I just had my first autocross today. I think I broke something in my car because it win't start

I also had my sunroof taken off becauase I am too damn tall as well. I could not get in with the helmet on. Infact, my helmet was sticking out of the top of the car

If you ride "gangster stylee" with the seat leaned all the way back it lowers you an inch or two. The whole "head hitting roof" thing doesn't bother me when I'm racing though..it just gets annoying while I'm in grid.

Well, it all worked out and the autox was a lot of fun. I still have to get the window fixed before Dec. though. I didn't think that my head hitting the roof would be a prob. for me, but I actually had to kind of stick it out the sunroof. I didn't notice it though while I was racing, only on grid like you said.
