View Full Version : Interest in Cusco Tension Bar Group Buy?
Sorry I didnt post this in the GB section because its not a GB yet so Ima post this here.
I just wanted to see if there would be any interest in getting a group buy going on this. I know someone who is interested in doing the GB for us but needs to know about how many would be interested. Id imagine it would be less then $125 shipped as you can get the bar for that on http://www.nismo.com. If your interested please post here. Thanks!

it goes from inside tension rod bolts to inside tension rod bolt.
its the blue on bottom of pic (top blue is sway bar)
just adds more stability to the front end.
It would be through the guys @ http://www.jdmspecperf.com. They deal in mostly honda right now but are getting into Nissan a little more. They just did a GB for some Carbing Strut Bars recently and im pretty sure all went well. I will double check that for everyone because I dont want this to be another Lost Projects tragedy as much as anyone else.
Whats the deal on the Kazama bar? Ive never heard of em, please give details. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
Edit: Nevermind, I just did a little R&D and found kazamas site and noticed the cost of the Kazama bar is 9,800 Yen compared to the Cusco which is 7,900 Yen. How much can you get the Kazama bar for?

im interested...just gotta pay for my recent ticket =( but im intereded, just let us know when itll be up
Ok, got an update. So far we have about 6 interested people, they are thinking if we get about 10 people we can get them for either 90-100$ shipped. It depends on how they order them though. First way is to get the money and order them and wait until the a little after the new year to get them. The other is to pay a little more 100$ and have them order 10 bars granted we have buyers for them and he can put them on their next container, which shuld arrive a little before the new year. Ill talk to them again and make sure they post on here and let us know all the details.
If you in for sure @ the $100 Shipped price please post. Id like to have these sent the 2nd way I mentioned. Thanks and ill keep everyone updated.

get some stainless piping from hardware store, cut it to size, break out the MIG, weld that bish in between the tension rod brackets, bingo.
just throwing out ideas. no need to spend $100 on a simple BAR. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

No need to bust out $250 on a MIG welder either...

west, do you have the kazama site? how much do those bars go for? also, have you dealt with nismo.com or japanparts.com before? how were they?
Well, I'm always up for another bar thats priced good...but, what do they do exactly? I can see where they attach, I'm just not quite sure what this will do for me. But, if it's something more noticable than a strut tower bar I'll probably pick one up for a hundred bucks...

What does it help? you can turn faster? or helps you to turn faster? what's the good to stabilize the front anyway?
If it will help somehow a lot, count me in for $100!

Count me in.
email me, i want one.

The bar helps in stiffing the chassis and from what I hear these make a pretty nice improvement, id say more then a strut bar would.
Well it looks like we should have enough interested people to get the first batch of these going, I will have the guys post in the Group Buys section with all the details when they have them. So keep you eyes open in the GB section of the forum. Thanks!

if we get 15-20 people will it be cheaper? lolz just wondering.. i'm sure everyones wondering the same thing haha thanks
Donno, I will see. Although I think they just wanted to get about 10 to see if they sold alright, but I think they will have no problem selling even with 15-20 for the price.

wow, the reason i didn't replace the front stock sway bar is because the aftermarket one won't stiffen any better from what i have heard. So count me in for that tension bar in GB.

im intrested as well...
does that tie the tension rods together? will it work with the stock rods with whiteline bushes?
Yup they mount to the Tension Rods and will work with bushings/stock rods/aftermarket rods.
They should be posting pretty soon with details. They are on the next container so they will be here before the end of the year.
