I'm originally from Salinas but moved to San Antonio about 7 years ago. the only 240 i ever saw back then was my uncles when i was a kid. i plan on making a trip back out there hopefully sometime later this year or early next year. it would be nice to hit up a meet and see how different (or the same) things are compared to here in Texas.

And I happened to spot a primer s13 hatch passing by
(I don't think it had a front bumper not sure though)
Also spotted a green s14.
and a white 300zx.

Cool talking to you earlier. I finally got my S13 Coupe running right, so now it's time to drive it into the ground:hsdance:. The last Marina autox (08/10/08) was the first event I've ever done and I had a blast. I'm hoping to make it to the next Marina autox on 9/14.

I was dead set on going, but now that it's been raining, I'm not too sure if I want to go out there. I think it is supposed to rain up until Saturday, dry on Sunday morning and then more rain later in the afternoon:wtc:

Should have gone. It was dry for every group till last one that of course had all of the drifter kids. It was a good course for drifting.

Is gripster the guy who had the S13 coupe that looked like it had a some type of light green base coat with the JDM Silvia front end and low offset wheels?

What was your best time?? My was 66.0 Wet. I forgot that we only get 4 laps not 5... If I gonna that last lap I know I could of done a high 64 aka stop too long drifts =P

I'm going to try to run as many UFO autoXs as I can, be competitive and earn points.

Right now, I'm trying to figure out which wheel bearing is shot so I can replace it before I get my alignment done.

It's been one thing, or another, with this car. A stock muffler (summer '08), tires and LF hub (nov. 08), and now this bearing.

Then I need to get spacers to push out the Spec V rims.

I didn't even know my trunk had popped open until the end of the course. What's funny is someone had told me before to remove the bars in my trunk to keep it from popping up so strong when the latch was pulled or on occasion if I hit a hard bump I think from so much tension being on it, it was caused as well. I didn't think anything of it...... until it happened during the autox.

As soon as I got home I yanked it.

I got some bad news, folks.

My top radiator hose popped off, my car lost coolant, which lead to my head gasket failure.

Needless to say, my 240 is out of commission until I get another motor in her. That means no autox'ing for a while. There goes my plan to be in the hunt in DSP this year.

I'll be in my *other* car. Sucks cause I don't want to put miles on her, and she only takes premium. I average 18K miles a year. Argh!

When I went to a SCCA autox in Candlestick, there was a butt load of people in STS/STX. Figured it would be quicker in DSP.

I know autox is not that hard on cars, but the IS is too nice. Plus I don't want to have two cars down on me at once.

That's true. Also there Aguajito Rd...
But really don't there both dangerous roads. There fine for spirited driver but if you go past that you better know what your doing. Aguajito has taken out a lot of cars. My friend was stuck in back of rolled over M3 for 10 mins. I've tap my bumper on the hill side. Someone has happened to everyone on that road.

yeah my shroud got fucked lol so I pulled off the clutch fan, and I have a big single fan that i'm trying to decide how to install. I was thinking of cutting off the condenser fan plug (not sure) and run it off of there. Hope my battery can take the load :-P Doing a bunch of readups write now to see which is the best setup, even though the clutch fan is the most efficient with the shroud.

im born and raised in SC have 2 burgundy coupes, both have had silvia fronts at times.
I still havent made it to autoX with UFO even though im friends with dennis hale (president of ufo) and hes invited me out. I just have bad timing.

Im always around but i dont drive my car alot cuz its not regd at the mo. if you see me say whats up, im literally the only black kid in SC with a s13, i seen one with a s14 but only saw him once

oh and if any of you guys need help or parts feel free to hit me up, im a wyotech graduate (top of my class) and ive been messing with cars for 10+ years.

i was talking about the BBQ specifically on the first page of ufo's site, me and a buddy that has a 520 are gonna go just to meet and greet. i already know dennis hale (ufo prez) from when I worked at winchester auto and he had invited me up to his place for th xmas party but i couldnt make it so i was hoping to make the BBQ and talk shop with some old skool heads

Awesome i just got mine smogged too i just need to get tags but im down for wherever, i was thinking we should have a full meet at the cost plus/petsmart/ross parking lot, at least for a night time meet. I used to work night crew at cost plus and theres never anyone in there and the cops have no reason to go in unless called (which no one will), I used to drift in the parking lot on my breaks and never once got in trouble.
But my permanent suggestion is at the top of the 4 story parking garage downtown, I mean we could use any garage down there because they cant really say shit about us parking a car ina 24 hour lot, they could just talk shit for loitering but we can say we are waiting for someone so we can all leave together.
And from either of those spots we can go up 9, up 1, to west cliff or wherever.
BTW im talking about the garage on front street across from the vets hall. It never closes.

White sileighty is my buddy miles, I actually bought one of his old SR's and a bunch of parts, he recently got a supposed built 380-400hp (SR) setup that he traded for his old stock SR setup I guess.

White piggy with kouki tails is my buddy brandon, hes still running his 91 ka but has one of the cleanest SR's Ive ever seen sitting on a stand next to his bed lol

black coupe with burgundy piggy front is our friend adam, he runs through cars but has settled on this one with altima cams and welded diff, and has my old burgundy piggy front since i went silvia.

I had a really good time, it was great to meet everyone and it seemed like a good spot and time for summer. there was still plenty of light at the meet and going to get pizza was a great idea and Im glad we managed to stay organized and pretty together on the drive, Nobody did anything stupid and nobody got left behind. the whole slow group/fast group idea worked out really well as long as we had those established meeting points for everyone to regroup.
i plan on being there every week and i know the rest of the santa cruz/831 guys are planning on it too. hopefully all the guys from nor-cal240sx show up as well. I will get the pics from them asao and post em up.

is it the ufo meets? so is their anything happening this sunday? i dont mind going. the new coupe i got is all white with black hood, top, and trunk. very ugly rattle can paint job. no real mods other than a short shifter, and intake filter, got it like that. my coupe i sold was ready for a silvia conversion with brand new carbon fiber hood but i crashed it. all i have left is a mangled k'ings front bumper. ill post picks of the that one and the new one soon.

you might now some of my friends who also drive 240sx. one has a tan 240sx coupe on meshies. and his friend in a grey hatch.
