I am going to be selling a Bride Ergo seat and I'd like to know if anyone has shipped a reclinable seat and how did they do it. Is UPS the best company to use? Do I need to make a box somehow or do I just use industrial saran wrap(used on pallets)?
Thanks

just get a box it will fit in and take to UPS, i would recommend bubble wrap to keep the seat from moving around in the box so that its in the best condition for the buyer.

wrap it, then box it. just take it to a couple places. see who gives you the best deal.

Thanks guys, so there isn't really anything special to shipping a seat then huh.
I am curious though, for those that have bought a brand new reclining seat what position was the seat in? Upright or fully reclined?

I assume it would just be in full up-right position.
I mean bucket seats have no option, they are always up, so it must just come in a large box with the seat wrapped in some kind of bubble cover or air packets...

definitely wrap it and put the address in the wrap just in case the box breaks. but definitely put it inside of a box!

i had to order a replacement fuel tank for my 190e before.. they shipped greyhound.. .. the tank was wrapped with cardboard and taped up.. you could try that route.

Greyhound would definitely be the cheapest route.

When I had my Cobra shipped they just took a box and put it over the top of the seat down to the ground and taped that up. The bottom of the seat was exposed.

UPS accepted and delivered so it must be okay.

Hmm I didn't even know greyhound offered that service. I called UPS and they told me they will make a box specifically for whatever I take them. So I'll probably just lay the seat flat, cover it with a couple garbage bags, tape them together and let UPS take care of the rest.
Thanks again

I need to remember to take the pictures BEFORE I get it boxed up Lol
