How do you take off the oem spoiler on the s13 coupe? I searched a little bit but couldn't find anything useful. i unscrewed the 2 screws on the spoiler and the 2 on the inside of the trunk but it still won't come out. anyone? thanks in advance.

you took all the screws off right? put some strength into it, yank that shit out, and don't be scared..it's an old ass car anyway.

The metal popped out a bit on mine when I did it. You should put a little care when you pull it out. I don't know if mine is a rare case but I'm just sharing my experience.

un bolt two bolts on the underside of the trunk(right in the middle, just open it and look straight up).Now unscrew the two screws that are on the sides(one on each side) and pull up on the spoiler. It will fill like its not going to come off because the plastic clips that hold it in are tight( i dont think they were ment to be removed then put back on they break easliy.

careful when you pull it off tho. don't want to warp the metal. just makes body work more of a bitch.

I was wondering the same thing cause I wanna take my wing off. Good look on the info. I thought I'd have to buy a wingless trunk to avoid serious bodywork.

Just switching to wingless trunklid will save you a lot of headaches.
The winged has a huge hole where the wing centerpost goes.

5 dollars?! they tried to charge me 30 at pick and pull, so i was about to throw it over the fence and pick it up at night when no ones around. =P

i went to the same place and dealt with the same people for 5 years(barry's in gulfport. bubbablack knows what im talkin bout) im sure that helped. they even let me use the "pocket rule" (if it fits in your pocket, dont worry about it)

Mine were actually really hard to break off but it can be done. Thats what I did with mine then covered the holes with stickers.

how big are the holes once you remove the spoiler? is there a way to cover them up with bondo or something? how? sorry for the noobie questions...

make sure to pull STRAIGHT UP. i pulled at a slight angle and the bolt on the spoiler bent the hole on the trunk a little bit on my old s14. nothing a hammer wont fix, cuz im sure you will be covering it up soon unlike me rocking electrical tape on my old s14 eh? :)

Once off there's almost a dozen holes to weld up. Good luck with it.

i pulled mine off only to have the wing disintergrate in my hand and discover that kinda yellow reddish gold black stuff that is kinda flakey. yup... rust! and lots of it.

beware of what lurks beneath!

had it cut out and welded up and refinished. better than new!

mine had a total of 10 holes.

Here is where all the holes are. Where there is eletric tape there is a hole. Since my car is black i just used tape. I have had it like this for 3 or 4 months. Been rained on snow, car wash atleast 2 times a week and dosent leak.
