I would like to know if anyone here has the apexi coilovers for their s13 and how they like them. I might be buying some.
which version?
i heard there made by the same copany megan gets theres from. which is bc boa chen or sumthing like that.
not from japan.
not very shure tho.
i had a friend that had them and they felt graet had them for over 2 years.
but one of them did nap where the bolt is on the top where the pillowmount. top of the piston? and took a long ass time to warrenty kuz they have to send back to japan.
like wtf cant you guys juss give me a new one?
so all in all you cant rebuild them in the us.
so these coilovers better be realie worth it and cheap. and or still have warrenty.

They're about the same quality of Megans - made in the same factory, rumored to have different valving. They're ok.

They're good, I've had tein super drifts, silk roads, apexi's, and megan streets. I first started drifting on the apexi so i thinkk i actually perfer them. They arent as stiff as the super drifts but they are alittle bouncier. I would have to say i can feel the difference between them and the megan tracks, the tracks being more bouncy.

That was very informative.

which coilovers are you talking about? they have mutliple product lines. only the Exv's are the same as the megans. even then, they are supposed to have different valving than the megans.

more informative than your post. I was giving my opinion on what i thought of them? What's wrong with that?

I'm running the exv's on my s13, and although I haven't experienced other coilovers on S-chassis cars, I have built several other suspensions.
I chose the apexis because of a killer price, and because I'm not going to actually "race" my car- just a street cruiser and maybe an occaisonal track day.
The quality of the parts seems good overall. Nicely finished, good looking hardware, damping knobs are easy to turn... they also feel very light compared with the stock struts.
As for ride quality, even though I consider myself as favoring a firmer ride, I had to turn the rears WAY down- only 4 or 5 clicks from full soft- to get the comfort level I wanted. Once I get out to a track event I can see what the upper levels do for handling, but with them turned down they feel good even on some rougher roads.
I've had them for about 6 months now, with no noises or problems. I'd say if you can get them for a good price, go for it. I know there are better products for more money, but these were a nice balance between my handling desires and my wallet.

the Exv are made by the same manufactures as magen and the rest are made in house at apexi from what i heard from an apex technician.
