well i just had my exhuast resonator removed and had a straight pipe installed to a custom (dragger style) muffler.....damn its loud. with the exhaust resonator my car sounded like a damn honda. now when i start it everyone in the immediate distance jumps and looks. its not a high pitched sound. its really low and throughty at idle and @ 3000rpm its turns my seat into a vibrating chair. im really impressed. i think the sound throws off the fact that is its a 4 cylinder. i havent been able to open test out performance yet becuase its been raining the past 2 days. i want to get some sound clips of it for you guys.

heres a question. i still have the stock air box on with no resonator or y-pipe. if i throw a cone filter on the stock intake tube will it give any slight performace benifit. im not going to go and by a intake setup becuase im saving for a ttz.

Cool, I was thowing the idea of doing that myself. I am curious to know if it drones on the highway.
What kind of piping?

I doubt you will get a performance gain, but you'll get a nice sound. It may help if you run the car to really high RPMS where it sometimes runs out of breath. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Maybe just get some mandrel bent tubing for $40 at a muffler shop?

it mellows out around a constant 2500rpm...

it cost me $65 to have put on and $70 for the fart can.

im not really worried about performance but ill take however much it gives me. i want a Z.
