Performance NISSAN Meet 2008 Presented by HKS USA

Well it's that time of year again, we here at Performance NISSAN of Duarte have partnered up with the world renown tuning company HKS USA to bring all of you an event at the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino. We are going to make it RAIN with thousands of dollars in raffle prize giveaways! The spectator area will be designated to each forum group so zilvia.net members will have your own section. Spot fee is $10 per car which will grant you entrance into the event. We will also be holding a auto-cross event at the same time which will be a $50 registration fee. This fee will cover helmet rentals which will be provided by Simpson's as well as entrance into the event. The auto-cross portion of the event will be facilitated by none other than Drift Association. On the speedway, drifting demo's will be brought to you by the people of Formula Drift. FD will have a booth with NISSAN drift cars from the series to perform drift demo's through out the day. There is a long laundry list of vendors that will have booths for all you guys to approach and talk to about anything you are inquiring. Our official media partner for the event is Super Street Magazine. Super Street Magazine will be covering the event exclusively and will be featuring an article about the event so a lot of cars are bound to get some love.

This is pretty much a Nissan/Infiniti meet, you can only enter with a non-Nissan for the Auto-X, otherwise it would have to be parked outside :(

Some of us in the valley are going to take the 210. To detour to the 60 is just to far out of the way. I think only a couple of us are starting in the valley takeing the 210 and meeting up with a friend in pasadena. and then taking the 210 straight to the 215. A good point brought up last night was its like going back and forth twice. So if anyone wants to meet in pasadena we can set up a meet point other wise we will just get the Kouki monster and head out. Just PM me.

I must admit, as even the vendor responsible for this event i wasnt even able to sneak in water or any food, nobody was able too. Those security guys were absolute pricks, they were not hired by us, they are part of the Orange Show security Staff and i almost wanted to throw them out. I can tell you to say the least that is the last time we are having a venue there. I got practically a cavity search getting in, and the most absurd part is we're the ones running the show. :loco: :jerkit: We apologize to those that came, we hope our future venues are not as bad as a hassle as this one.

Haha homeland security? Those guys looked like the drop outs of the biggest loser. We were not informed that there were to be no food or drinks entering the venue. As far as i know, all i knew there was going to be is security watching the venue, no mentions of what they were going to do.

Was chill. stayed for a little bit, since i dont have a nissan i feel a lil left out lol. but i still go to these meets. I always loved the Zs. There was some really sick Zs out there representing the low low =p

Cosworth had a booth out there.. they looked lonely. Ive seen them at a few other car events with booths. Not many people know or appreciate what they do, maybe if they had a demo car sitting out at their booths they might get more crowd attention.

so I was towing my car with a friend's (very very big) truck and of course had to go through the security check thing, which they made me pop the hood for (of the truck.... but not the s13.. weird) and they couldn't figure out how to get it open :D

There is one set that isn't bad. They're 18x8.5 +20 offset, but they're 5-lug. So unless they can make a 4-lug set for me I'll have some wheels to sell soon! Other than that the best offset they had was +35 and the widest size was 7.5". I'm going to try to talk hankook into giving me some od their DOT r-compounds! :yum: For sure I can get r-s2's out of the deal! I really need street wheels though so I can use REAL track tires, so it's a bummer that there are no good wheels for me from that company.

It was mixed multiple times, there were quite a few people who bought like 20-30 raffle tickets to increase their chances of winning,nothing we can do about that...

We would like to throw out another event but it is getting very hard to find spots to rent, since most of the places we contacted said we won't let us do venues like that anymore because of what happen with some other time etc... Take for example, we wanted to use the El Toro air field, but something that happened at the Greddy festival left a bad taste in their mouths so they wouldnt let us use that space. Irwindale was charging crazy amounts to rent their space and there was alot of restrictions. Maybe next time we'll get some suggestion by the board members for the next meet.

I mean like 3/4 of the cars there were 240's and they gave out like maybe 2 parts that would fit an s-14 and none that I saw that would fit an s-13. The vendors didn't even bring any s-13 parts with them! I wanted to buy a rad cooling panel for my s-13 front end (at a discounted rate of course) but all anybody had was s-14 or z-32 or 33!
