did my alignment today and found out I have leak for both front calipers. My friend has a JDM front clip. and he has a pair of JDM s13 front calipers. He said it is even bigger than the s14 USDM ones. So I am just wondering whether or not I can use the stock s13 rotors with that calipers. And if I cant, what rotors should I use and also what brake pads should I use for that calipers?

yes, the JDM S13 180sx calipers/rotors are a decent upgrade over the 240sx calipers/rotors. i've laid them next to each other and its' an obvious difference.

i noticed this when i got my front clip. there are a bunch of threads saying exactly which rotors to use.

you can use 94 altima rotors. i'm not sure which year, but you can use maxima pads. the pads won't fit PERFECTLY, but you can get away with it.

but it's def on here somewhere, just gotta word it right when you search.

im running this setup. 94 is the magic number. 94 altima rotors. 94 maxima pads. and no you cannot use the stock 240sx rotors.

this was talked about a few weeks ago.

Yes, I used the 2003 se-r rotors and maxima pads, perfect fit!

I don't know where all this drama is coming from.

I have:

* front calipers from a 1993 JDM 180SX front clip

I used:

* brake hoses from a USDM S13
* 95 Altima discs
* 95 Maxima pads

Pads fit 100% with no rubbing or overhang.

You do have to remove the stock dust shield or cut the lip off.

This is for S13. Some S14s have 4 lugs so the discs will have to be Maxima 5-lug discs.

There's no drama here! the SE-r rotors are a direct fit for the 4 lugged-ly challenged. no re drilling

I also had the * front calipers from a 1993 JDM 180SX front clip
I heard the usdm 180sx brake upgrade, leaves an overhang. That's were the drama is.

JDM 180sx/s13 use 280mm/11" x 22mm rotor
USDM 240sx 10.1 inch rotor.

4 luggers use Altima rotors. 5 Luggers use Maxima Rotors.

This is all the info I got from my research, gonna test the theory when my 5 lug conversion arrives and I have to replace the front rotors.

I can't confirm on the Maxima discs because I'm 4-lug, but I used Altima discs and have no overhang at all. Everything fits perfectly and clears stock 15" wheels.

as far as i can tell 89-01 maxima and 93-01 altimas use the same brake pads.
93-01 altimas and 2000+ sentras use the same rotors (4-lug).

Ok the JDM 180sx calipers work perfect with rotors and pads listed . therefor the altima, sentra SE-R SpecV and maxima rotors and the 95 maxima pads. this has been confirmed. Any other rotor, pad combination has not been confirmed!?

The USDM 180sx brake upgrade This One (http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Nissan_240SX_Performance_Modification/Brakes#Maxima_.2F_180sx_spec_Brake_Swap) Has a problem with pad over hang confirmed!
