turbo question

as i unattached my exhaust manifold replacing my turbo gasket. i laid down the turbo on the side. the next day, i seen this oil leaking out from the turbo outlet. im thinking its not normal but i wanna know what you guys got in your head

errr ok....an oil is leaking out from the turbo outlet after i left it laying down on the table.

You sure from inside? If so, your turbo is gone....

This is common on turbos that need a rebuild.

your seal is leaking oil. depending on what turbo you have, you probably have a 270° seal. 360° seals have been developed to remedy this problem.

did your exhaust smoke before you pulled everything?

again, it's common on turbos that have mileage on them.

i suggest while you have everything pulled, you do a rebuild.

is there any in/out, side/side shaft play?

no shaft play at all...side to side in and out. it sticks there and i never ran the sr with it. where i cna buy a rebuild kit?
