S14 tranny code

HI , Can someone please help me out ? im trying to get a shift kit to my auto/tranny for my S14a 97 , but I dont know the type or tranny code ?

I called the nissan dealer. Gave them my vin. And they told me the trans code. If ya feel like jacking the car up crawling under the car, and looking for some sort of a stamp'd code go for it. I am not sure if the s14 has a code stamped on it. But the dealer should be able to tell ya the trans code.

I am assuming they want to know what transmission is in your car at the autoparts store or online somewhere.. But maybe i am just making a ass of myself.

actually that's the main reason of why I need so bad this transmission type!!!
