I have an older set of BC Spec Dampers on my S13, one of which is blown. I'd like to have them rebuilt but when I contacted Buddy Club all they said was that they are discontinued and not serviceable, and that I should buy new ones from them (go figure). I'd really like to stick with these for the time being and not drop the coin on a new set, though they did offer a discount.
So who rebuilds dampers? I hear motorcycle shops, but I don't know who to trust.
Thanks

no luck.
Aren't there any shops that will tear it apart and see what needs to be done?

You can try to see if a performance motorcycle shop can rebuild it for you, you need to know what specs it is built to though, so you'll have to call buddy club for that stuff.
If you can even find a motorcycle shop that does that sort of thing go there first and ask them what sort of information they'll need to know in order to redo it.
That's just about the only thing you can do unless there is a suspension engineer on here who happens to have some free time to rebuild a shock.

Some motorcycle shops are really good, but I think you might still need the parts....
