for the Horse Thief Mile event you should be able to drift decently. hold a long drift, and connect to another the oposite way. You can drift the course as single corners, but we want to make sure there are not alot of spin outs.

We say these HTM events are for intermediate to advanced.

If you are a begginer, I would suggest the Touke event that is at WSIR the same day. At the "balcony" track. that way its a safer and easier course made for beginers through advance. and pop over to the HTM track to say hi and maybe get some ride alongs :)

I fried my first set fast... (enjoying the track!) then focused on only the "mid section", got the turns down and linking them fully is sooo close I can smell it. Def want more of HTM!

3rd day ever drifting, thanks to Jason (red RX7 conv) for tools loan, Grenade180sx (think that´s you huh?) for useful technique hints and Cyrus for some Z33 info and sharing my first tandem runs (btw anyone got a pic of one cool and one stock Z33? - both gray).

626 is totally in a different level. i admire that.

the trick to getting good is more gas at balcony. Single cam 3rd gear initiations and manji all the way up the straight to the J turn.
Get as sideways as much as you can, with as much speed as the KA will give you. And stop doing figure 8's and donuts, cause you already got that.

The grip stuff is practice, practice, practice. And alot of go karts :) (and trying to follow Sams line)

Thanks for coming over and running with us. HTM is scary as hell too. but you get used to it.

626DRIFTS' HTM 4/06 was a lot of fun. There was soooo much action all over the track from crazy quad drift sessions to 5 car in line grip sessions. Too bad the DB9 was limping around the track because I sooo wanted to grip with it. oh wells.

Yeah man, that was my 1st turbo HTM event. I had to really learn a new line
No linking the entire down hill = no points in the comp.
So if it means some 4x4 action before I get than the sparkles get dirty ...LOL
